The Scene
It makes you wonder when you take in the sheer volume and sensual appeal of Deer Valley's gorgeous, "where in the world do I begin?" Seafood Buffet.
The Food
Mountains of shrimp, sushi galore, house-cured gravlax, herring, crab cakes, steamed clams--and that's just the beginning. Move on to skillet-seared yellow-fin tuna with green-olive pesto, honey soy-glazed Chilean sea bass, and on and on. Because it's a fresh-seafood kind of place, the menu changes nightly. Meat eaters are welcome, too. They'll find prime rib, smoked or barbecued baby back ribs, even roasted-garlic mashed potatoes. Add salads, fresh breads and confections by pastry chef Letty Flatt, and you'll understand why even Poseidon would make this a destination restaurant. On top of it all, the wine list shines and service is gracious.
