What it Is
Originally built in Alaska to explore the inside passage, this 65-foot, fully-equipped ship is now host to several area tours, lasting from one to several days. The Goose has led whale-watching expeditions, observed the migration of eagles, and explored the plant life of the San Juan Islands and Southeast Alaska.
What to Expect
The Snow Goose sleeps 12, offering creature comforts like three bathrooms, a natural history library, and a salon. The upper deck is perfect for checking out the landscape. The tours are run by marine biologists and environmental scientists from Western Washington University and Whatcom Community College who really know their stuff--and share their knowledge with you.
