It is embarassing to admit , but I am 35 yrs old and had not been to see a dentist in 10 yrs. The last time i went to a dentist, i had a panic attack, jumped out of the chair in the middle of the procedure, and sacked the dentist like i was Mario Williams. ""Long story short"", my phobia of going to the dentist was very strong, and the consequences were becoming unbearable after 10 years. Bad teeth can take over your life in so many ways, and i was at breaking point. I got lucky and had a dental emergency, when a crown on one of my front teeth broke off. I was forced to go see a dentist and went in for an estimate the next morning at a local dentist i found off google. I dont have insurance, and the estimate was close to five figures, LOL. I reached out for advice, and a friend strongly recommended to go to see his friend and dentist, Todd Sninski D.M.D. This is why i was lucky to break that crown, because it lead me to the road to recovery. Dr. Sninski not only fixed my crown the next day, he helped me realize, alot of my anxiety was caused by dentist that were outdated, uncaring. and even humiliating at times. I told him my history with dentist in the past and he instantly recognized my issue. I have a bad Gag Relex, which makes you feel like u cant catch your breath, and can lead to a panic attack, which i had. The difference from my past experiences was simple, Dr. Todd and his staff, actually care about their patients. After 10 visits, the only time i started to feel uncomfortable, Dr. Todds assistant, Susan recognized it immediately, and helped me through it. I actually fell asleep during one of my visits during a procedure. A year ago i was convinced id have dentures within 5 years bc i couldn""t force myself to make an appointment. I still have a long way to go for a full recovery, but im back on track and it feels great. I know this is a long review, but if you are familiar with my situation at all, and live in Wake County, it will be the best decision you ever make if you take my advice. It changed my life, ""Thank God for Dr. Todd.""
