Snake Farm

We drove 12 hours to take our 3 year old son to the Snake Farm for his 4th birthday. We were a bit leery but it was all he wanted, so we went! WOW, what an experience, the staff at the Snake Farm treated Andrew like he was royalty and part of their family, it was the best birthday party that he has ever had, and we went to Disney last year for his 3rd birthday! Jared and Brandon spent tons of personal time with my son letting him hold tons of different snakes and even let him hold a scorpion! The best day to go is Sunday when they feed the Alligators; it is kind of crowded but an unforgettable show! You literally will be in awe with how spectacular Jared is, and if you are lucky he will get his ""kitty"" out while you are there. Pros: Staff, snakes, scorpions, and alligators Cons: The facility is a bit worn down, but they take such awesome care of all the animals. more

The Snake Farm is a must see, dating back from the late 60's, this place has been around for a long time for good reason! From the wide array of snakes on display, to the outside area consisting of exotic birds, primates, to the free-roaming peacocks, The Snake Farm without doubt will have something great to see for all goers! The only problem is the prices listed on their website, which are much lower than what you actually pay. For the adults, it costs $9.75, three $ more than on the website, and for children 3 and up, it is $6.75, two $ more than advertised. Not a big deal considering all the money goes to the maintenance of the farm, but a little tricky if you happened to bring just the right amount of money to get in based on the website!!
