I had went to Smokehouse for lunch a while back right after it opened, and I was not impressed so decided to try again last night for dinner. It basically served as a reminder that it is not a good place to eat at all. The first red flag should have been that the place hardly had anyone in it for a Thursday night. The server was ok, but she spoke extremely loud. The big disappointment was of course the food. I started with the chicken chilli, which tasted like it came out of a can. For my entree, I had the Reuben with Cole Slaw and Dirty Rice. Unfortunately, the highlight was the Cole Slaw. The rest of the entree was very bland and really had no flavor. As far as the Reuben goes, I've had Arby's Roast Beef sandwiches that tasted better. Having previously lived in New Orleans, the Dirty Rice was a major disappointment. The rice was under cooked and the dish had no flavor what so ever. It was like eating brown rice with no seasoning added. Like a couple of other restaurants at Bridge Street that have failed and closed down, I have a feeling that this one is not far from the same demise. \r
