This is one of the best stores in Birmingham, they have the cutest toys. They have a lot of things that are "old-fashioned", the kind of toys that Wal-Mart should carry but doesn't. You can get lost in this place, it's not very big, but it is fascinating. Prices vary, some things are pricey, some things are more than reasonable. Customer Service is great. Individually owned. more

A Find Everything Kind of Shop 12/2/2005

This store is relatively small in comparison to other department stores but you can fill many of your shopping needs here. They have an excellent toy selection including collectible dolls. They have a stationery department with scrapbooking items. They sell home decor such as candles. They sell smocked dresses. Ribbons and hair bows are plentiful here. A great place to purchase a gift. Located in Mountain Brook near the Zoo. more

Smith's Variety is a must-shop kind of place. They have a great variety of toys, hobby items, crafts, stationary, and more. It is they kind of store that you go in looking for nothing, and find everything! And, you will be glad you stopped in. Smith's Variety is located in the Western Supermarket shopping center in the heart of Mountain Brook. more
