I’m in sales so a beautiful smile will do a lot. So I feel the implant would serve the need but obviously it’s also the hygiene, it’s also the taking care of the teeth itself. So implant is the next step, it’s the future. And I am happy that I have it done. I went to some other implant center. They try to charge me for the CT scan and they try to charge me for the x-ray. And I don’t even decide to do this and that but I already have to pay them, and that’s something that I feel I should not be, I was not a fan about. But at the Smile Implant Center I have no obligation at all. The consultation is completely free and if I don’t like what I am being offered I can just walk away. It’s something that I feel that the Smile Implant Center is genuine and honest about the service that they are trying to provide. one of the reasons that I chose the Smile Implant Center because they have the whole lab here in the office. I used to go to other dentists and just to have a tooth or a tooth filling they have to wait for the lab. I've consulted a lot of other people. I'll tell you. They're all out of their minds. When I talked to Dr. Teich, and he gave me the whole layout, I said finally something makes sense. You know, and reasonable sense. These other guys, if my first born wouldn't object they'd want him. And it was a whole thing, it was going to take 3, 4, or 5 years. Or whatever. You know, we have to do this and than have to wait 3 years. What are you talking about, all I want is some implants? Everybody else gets them. So I've been wearing this thing you know, dentures, for I don't know 10 months 11 months now... Waiting for this day. To put that implant back in. Get me my real uppers. You made my life, and I'm able to smile again, All the time, you know for the first time, for the past two weeks, when I'll be able to move my mouth more because its swollen and now my kids notice that now I open my mouth and smile. In my job I'm talking to people all the time. I'm either presenting or I'm talking one on one with people, and what had occurred to me, because my mouth had gotten so bad, my teeth had gotten so bad, what had happened was I was concentrating more on hiding my mouth, than communicating with people. and I imagine of the message was getting lost, and I imagine probably even some of my confidence was being impacted, and I had talked to my dentist about the possibility of implants. And he didn't do it all the time, but he said I could certainly do it for you that it would be very expensive, so I heard an ad for the smile implant center and I said, let me give it a shot. Let me got and talk to these folks, and I did, and I was very impressed with how they approached me to begin with, how they looked at the problem. and as I looked at it I was really looking at value. not value in term with what's the cheapest way to do this. because I could have just gotten dentures and it would have all been over with, but I looked at three things. Professionalism, the people doing it, did they really know what they were doing? and in fact they did. I did all kinds of research and these folks really knew what they were doing. I looked at what they were doing, the procedures, the materials. Did some research on that, found out this stuff is good. it has a proven track record. And third, was cost, and I was stunned by the cost. When I talked to my dentist about it, he gave me one figure, for just doing part of my mouth. The figure that I got for having my entire mouth done here was about a 1/3 of what my dentist quoted me for part of my mouth. Prior to coming in and having this done, everyone explained to me in great detail exactly what was going to happen. That of course took care of a lot of the apprehension. When I got here, of course, we went through it again. And everybody was concerned about my comfort. First they said we don't want this to be a painful bad experience, and they made sure that was the case. It was not painful, actually the day went by fairly quickly. I got up walked myself out of here to my car with no problems at all. And felt great. I've had a number of friends who've had problems with teeth, whether missing a tooth or dentures. And I suggested to them that they'll want to take a look at the smile implant center. Where as cost may not be the biggest determining factor for me, I know it is for a lot of people. And you just can't beat the cost of having it done here. So I did this, it was great, I have to tell you I walked out of here, the first day, with a full set of teeth. What you see in my mouth now, the day that I had the procedure, this is it. but frankly I was eating, fairly normally, 4 days after I had it done. And I haven't had a problem with it, this is great. I always thought I took pretty good care of my teeth. I flossed every day. I used a Waterpik. I brushed after every meal. But still what happened to me happened to a lot of my friends, too. my dentist had that fateful talk with me when he told me I didn’t have enough good teeth left to support the teeth in the upper jaw of my mouth. I was going to have to get dentures. But who wants to wear dentures? So I asked around. I had a dentist that I had gone to for 10 years in Irvine. Is asked if there was anything I could do besides getting dentures? My dentist said that there was this technology called implants. So, I didn’t know any better, so I went with him. They sent me to an x-ray place. They charged me $400 or $500 to take x-rays. Then I went to the oral surgeon. Of course, this is an oral surgeon that does a lot of other things. Probably most of what he does is extracts teeth for teenagers. You know, wisdom teeth, that sort of thing? Fixes TMJ and jaw problems and even did some cosmetic surgery. So he—he charged me $30,000, $32,000 for ten implants in my upper jaw. And took about, oh, six months all together. I had to wait while the jaw cured and everything got back to healed and everything. And during that period I had to wear this very, very uncomfortable plate, you know the kind of thing my grandmother had. You know, it was just uncomfortable. I travel on business and it was just one of the worst six months of my whole life. And then after the thing’s healed up, I went back to my original dentist who charged me another $10,000 or $12,000. Course they also charged me for office visits. They charged me a lot for the x-rays. They charged me for anesthesia, you know, so I’d be a little more relaxed during surgery. And the whole job all together came out costing me more than $45,000. but six months later my wife and I were vacationing in this real expensive, fancy resort in Mississippi gulf coast, and right in the middle of dinner the first night, my implant bridge broke. So we cancelled our vacation. They didn’t give us our money back; it cost a lot of money. Flew back to California and the dentist said that the oral surgeon’s work wasn’t right and one of the implants had failed. And the oral surgeon said no it was the dentist’s fault, he hadn’t done the job right. So they decided to quote me on how much it would cost to fix the side that had broken off. And then I saw an advertisement for the Smile Implant Center so I came to them. First of all its a totally different kind of place. All the x-rays are free, all the exams are free, all the anesthesia is free. They told me I couldn’t go wrong because what they were gonna do was all the work-up before they charged me a penny. So they did all of that, they did the exam, they put the results up on a great big screen so the doctor could explain to me what he was going to do, and the cost was like $3,500. So where my dentist wanted to charge $13,500, the Smile Implant Center was quoting me only $3,500. Well over the next several years, the work of that dentist failed, and the work of the Smile Implant Center never broke and never failed and I never had any problems with it. I was really impressed. I talked to my old dentist and he thought it was so cheap the work probably wouldn’t last. I thought the people were real friendly. That’s the first big thing. They were very friendly. They didn’t waste time getting to you. They were quick to ask you questions. It was real clean. The dentists, they seemed very professional. Seemed like a place you want to come back to just by the first impression. Plus the information you give, for being free, it’s a whole lot of information. When I was sixteen, I was in a car accident. My chin went all the way into the steering wheel and bashed my teeth back. I lost one tooth and another was slowly dying. Now I’m 51 and it finally died. I’m Charles. I was in World War Two. I shipped overseas as a tank driver and landed in England, and then crossed the channel in the Normandy invasion. I made it through and came out of the service after four years. After knocking around as a civilian, my teeth started to go bad and I saw a very good commercial on television for the Smile Implant Center. My Husband and i have been patients at Smile Implant Center for over 4 years. My husband and I had gone to another dentist for our implants, but my implants failed and my husband’s was done incorrectly. Luckily, we found the Smile Implant Center. Before, I didn’t have confidence when I was smiling or talking. All the crowns in my mouth felt big and thick, not natural at all. I have a history of gum disease, so my teeth and the bone were just falling apart. I had to have surgery to replace the bone and then do the implants, so I was scared at first. But I could see the positive attitude and their confidence in the faces of the staff. I knew that they knew what they were doing, so I felt more comfortable. They are so, so helpful and very generous. And I think everyone has this problem where the doctor’s office won’t call you back. But at the Smile Implant Center, they always follow up and when I have questions they always call me back. I like this office because they do have the big lab in the building. It’s really convenient for me. I don’t have to wait. Just a few minutes and the job is done. You do not have to pay for the consultation. It’s free. All the x-rays and everything are free. And then after the implants were finished, somehow my husband had a little problem. He came back and we been surprised to find that there was no charge at all. At other places, when they take your denture out, they charge you to fix every little bit here and there. My friends and family, they asked me what changed with my face. I needed full implants on the top and bottom. I originally learned about Smile Implant Center because I saw the commercial on TV. Prior to that, I had been to another dental office, and they told me that I didn't have sufficient bone to have it done. He also mentioned the price, and we didn't have anymore conversation after that. It was way too expensive! My doctor at Smile Implant Center said my bone looked good and the price was a lot lower. The whole process took about 3 weeks to one month because I had to get my finances in order, but the actual procedure was very quick. The day I came in, I saw a lot of patients, and the way the staff managed things was pretty impressive. Everybody was so organized, nobody was yelling at anyone. They all communicate by headset and the whole thing is pretty cool. I do feel some pain, but I'm very happy with the results.
