Great dentist for kids 9/7/2012

Dr. Kumar and his staff are great with kids. They work especially hard at making young children comfortable. Plus, the facilities at Smile Dental are top notch - there's a great selection of DVDs to help keep children occupied during the checkup. Best experience, hands down. Smile dental is one of the most revolutionary ways of getting your teeth checked up. Their technology is beyond the mundane tools used by other ordinary dentists; for example, I didn't have to worry about x-ray radiation because they use state of the art digital x-rays, which radiate virtually nothing. Dr. Kumar also makes the experience that much better. Dont picture the typical white coat stickler jabbing needles and drills into your mouth. Dr. Kumar along with his staff almost feel like family. They explain everything along the way and treat patients such as myself with the upmost care. Rest assured, your are in good hands. more

Sure, they're really nice and friendly and everything, but from my experience they don't really get the job done and/or do a horrible job at what they do. They generally won't fix your cavities until they are so bad you have to pay lots of money to get them fixed, and I know 5+ people who had to get root canals because the filling was placed too deep and they damaged their nerves. I experienced that myself and it was such a horrible time. a waste of time, money, and energy. True story. Totally unacceptable. more

The best experience I have ever had. Smile Dental's front office got me in almost immediately. I was in the worst pain ever. When I met Dr. Kumar, he asked me what I wanted him to do after he explained everything to me. I had the tooth pulled. He was AWESOME!!!!. I feel better now. I thank him for geting me in right away..I was in hell. You can tell he works from his heart. Pros: watch movies, makes me feel comfortable Cons: not for now more

Very good Dentist 8/5/2008

Dr Kumar in my opinion is a wonderful dentist .It has been the best dental experience I have ever had . He and his entire staff have treated me with exceptional care and overall I am very pleased with my visits to him. He takes the time to addresses all your issues and puts any concerns you might have to rest. I have never felt rushed or that any of my concerns were trivial or unimportant to the Dr. I would highly recommend this dentist to all my family and friends. Not a good choice 7/21/2008

OK - Dr. Kumar is friendly, personable, extremely likable, and obviously passionate about his career. His equipment is state-of-the-art. His front-desk staff is great. But he retains a hygienist who is as brutal as she is thorough, and he fails to provide full information about existing issues until he needs to do further work. His work with dentures leaves much to be desired as well; 3 months of torn-up gums because he can't fit them correctly is 3 months too long. Because of my own experience, I can't recommend him or his office. In fact, I recommend that you find another dentist. wow!!!!!! I could not believe it!!!!! 7/18/2008

I could not believe the visit I had! Dr. Kumar thoroughly explained what I needed to get done. He was clear in explaining and had an awesome digital camera showing me everything. What I was most impressed with was his genuine care for me. After a few minutes getting to know each other,he asked me ""What would you like me to do for you?"" He addressed all my concerns. He really works from his heart. Pros: tv's, technology, communication Cons: across from coldstone :) more

you should reconsider 4/28/2008

i was a little surprised at the fact that this dentist was running around like a chicken with no head. Im not sure if its always like this but it made me feel very uncomfortable. the staff was very friendly but was not particularly satisfied with the dentist more

Honest, Straightforward Service 4/11/2008

I've been to a few dentists in the past who are constantly trying to upsell their services. This is not what you'll find at Smile Dental. They provide, honest and straightforward advice and they don't try and push additional services on you. The staff are knowledgeable and do a great job. My kids were scared of going to the dentist but Dr. Kumar made them feel comfortable and relaxed about going to the dentist. Pros: Ambience, Service, Decore, Great with kids more

Excellent Dentist...keeps the conversation going and all my surgeries have been painless. I have known Dr. Kumar for some time now and always makes an effort to help me out along with my beautiful smile. Best Dentist Ever! 3/25/2008

Dr. Kumar is fantastic. He remembers me and our previous conversations every time I go in! I travel the 30 to 45 minutes to the other side of town just to go to him. Trust me, it is well worth the commute if you are not close to the office. They are always friendly and thorough and most of all... ON TIME! I always seem to get there early and they still get me in right away. Very personable and caring people! Please give them a chance...you absolutely will not regret it. Thanks! Pros: Comfortable and calming... And that's hard to find in a dentist! Cons: Wish he was closer to my side of town, but that's minimal compared to the big picture! more

Best Dentist in the Area 11/26/2007

I went to Smile Dental based on a friend's recommendation, and it was the most pleasant experience I've had at a dentist...and I normally don't enjoy going to the dentist!!! The staff was extremely nice and made the atmosphere comforting. Dr. Kumar was fantastic. My teeth look and feel great, and he was very thorough in explaining what I need to do the maintain clean teeth. And, they had some amazing technology that allowed me to see photos of my teeth on a computer monitor that showed the areas that need attention. AND, I got to watch a DVD as he cleaned my teeth!!! Great dentist, great staff. Highly recommend them!!! Pros: Great service/clean teeth!, atmosphere, easy to get to, plenty of parking, polite and courteous staff Cons: none - except that it still is a dentist more

Nothing but smiles... 11/20/2007

I've been going to Smile Dental for several years now and have had nothing but positive experiences. Dr. Kumar and his staff take the time to explain their procedures in ways I can understand. They always make me feel comfortable and at ease, always checking to see that my pain level is minimal. I also like how all of my appointments pretty much start on time. Compared to my prior dentist, Smile Dental's equipment is state-of-the art. It's interesting to see the before-and-after digital pictures whenever I come in for cleanings. They can also pinpoint areas of concern to me on their computer monitors. I also appreciate the office staff working closely with my insurance company to minimize what I have to pay out-of-pocket. more

High Tech 7/21/2004

I felt extremely comfortable at my appointment at Smile Dental. The staff is very friendly, helpful and very aware of my needs. The doctor was concerned about my needs and was very informative.
