SHOTS Pain Management would have been a better name for this practice. Be prepared to have steroid shots and nerve blocks heaped upon you over and over again. Pretty much every other word out of their mouths is "shots."
Also, if medication works best for whatever ails you, you'll have to sign a one-sided contract in which you surrender your right to medical and pharmaceutical privacy (and on occasion, your dignity).
The office staff is generally cordial, but not what I would call overly warm and/or friendly. The wait time varies. Sometimes it's a short wait, and other times, you wonder if they've forgotten about you.
Doctors and physician's assistants tend toward being borderline rude and impatient, although they do have "nice" days. Doctors don't want to spend a lot of time with you after the initial visit, so you'll be pawned off on a P.A. thereafter.
If you're expecting that a referral to "pain management" is the answer to your prayers for help, you'll be disappointed, so be prepared. Not only will you have pain, but you'll have to jump through hoops like a circus dog and spend a great deal of money in the process. Sometimes I wonder if it wouldn't be easier and cheaper to just suffer.
