Small World Pre School & Day

good place. My kids started here before transfering to the west jordan place after I changed jobs and needed a place further south. West valley really won me over. The office people are the best to work with and they not only make sure my kids are taken care of they were nice to me too. My parents gave me a boys' name so I already feel out of place most places I go ;), but the Small World staff has always made me feel important, and I know they do the same for my kids. Thank you Small World! You have been my lifesaver!!! more

My daughter has been going to Small World for 4 years now. The staff there is amazing and very friendly. My daughter enjoys going there each day. more

I have taken both of my kids here- currently my two year son goes here and we all love it! The teachers are freindly and helpful and when any questions or concerns come up they address them promptly. I feel secure that my son is being taken care of while my husband and I are at work, which is a huge relief for us. I have no complaints abot Small World. The best daycare in the area by far! more

I have to say that Small World has been a great expeirence for both my daughter and I. I attended Small World as a child and have fond memories of my time there. That is why when I had my children they were right at the top of my list of providers. My expeirences with the staff no matter the circumstances have been great. They really seem to care about my daughter. They offer dance classes and karate classes on site which I think is great !!!!! And the coffee in the morning is nice, look forward to it. They are priced right even for a single mother like myself. Give them a two thumbs up!!! more

This preschool/daycare is far superior to other centers! I have had to move my kids several times from other day cares and have yet to find a high quality place like Small World. The center is well kept, clean and organized. The meals are planned so I know what my kids are eating every day. Their cook is great and my daughter loves the food there! Apparently I don't make some things at home as well as their cook does! Or atleast that's what my daughter tells me. I love that this day care transports to many of the local schools. It helps me greatly with my busy schedule. The center also just started offering Karate classes which has been a.m.a.z..i.n.g because I can't enroll them for classes outside of my work schedule, so I love this advantage. The staff is always very positive and easy to talk to. I can tell they really do care about my children. I can not put a price on that!! This place also has a structured curriculum for every classroom! I was stocked to learn that even their one year old class is on a curriculum program! They really do learn there which is nice. I don't want my kids sitting around being babysat all day and this is NOT the case at Small World. Thank you for involving my kids in educational, growth building activities. I give Small World West valley huge reviews! I know they have a center in West Jordan as well, and I am sure that place is just as good as West Valley. I think they have the same owners. \r more

My daughter has been at Small World for 3 years. She loves the teachers there, in fact has almost gotten TOO attached to them! :) I trust the teachers there to take good care of my child. There have been some recent changes that I think have really improved the center. My daughter is excited to go to daycare. She has made several lifelong friends there. I would never put her in any other daycare. I have observed her in her classroom (without them knowing I was there) and was very impressed. The teacher was positive and polite. She was also very patient with a difficult boy. The center is kept very clean considering how many children are there! Thank you Small World! more

Our family has been attending Small World West Valley now for almost 5 years. We have always been happy with the care our kids get, but we have noticed many great changes this last year. The owners brought in a new director who has really changed the feel of the place. Many of the old teachers left (or maybe they were asked to leave) and some great new teachers have stepped in. The overall feel of the center has changed with this new management so props to them. We can tell that their interested in our children's well being and they are constantly making efforts to improve. I have been happy for the 5 years we've been there and I am more impressed this year. The center started offering Karate lessons which is nice to have our children involved in something like that since we can't offer them that outside of our work schedules. We really like this place. Thank you to the new management for hanging in there during a hard transition. We see and notice your postive changes. more

I never wanted to put my child in day care, so this was a very hard step for me. I am so grateful now that I found Small World! The West Valley location is great and easy to get to. The staff is great and their new directorship is friendly and helpful. They are always willing to talk about my concerns (which are few and far between). I tell everyone how much my children love their day care teachers. They come home excited to talk about their day and what they learned about. I appreicate that their classes have real lesson plans and agenda's. Their cook is excellent which says a lot for my picky little eaters! My daughters class is below state ratios which I like and my son's Kindergarten class is so small compared to public schools. I really feel like he is recieving the private, personal care he needs. I will continue to offer Small World West Valley great reviews because I can honestly say that I see on a daily basis the great care they are giving my childen. more

When I first started using this daycare I loved it, they had a good schedule with the kids, they were well supervised, and my son loved going. In fact he was excited to go and would cry when I came to pick him up. Almost as soon as he was moved to the toddler room he started hating it. He would throw huge tantrums when I would take him to drop him off, and I was constantaly signing accident reports, because he was getting bit, pushed and picked on. I kept asking the teachers why there was so many accidents and she told me it was just the age group. Then one time when the kids were outside I dropped my son off then I went to the window and watched them. The teachers were completely ignoring the kids they were engrossed in their own conversation. I watched as my son walked over to pick up a toy, as another child ripped the toy out of his hand and then pushed him to the ground. My son started crying and they didn't even look his direction or make sure he was ok, just keep talking to each other. I watched as my son got up and walked to the corner of the yard, he just sat there and pounted picking up pebbles, and picking at the grass the other child proceeded to pick on other kids and then walk over and started kicking my child. I had seen enough at this time and walked out got my child and left. I permently pulled him out of daycare, for lack of supervision. \r I have had several family members use this daycare which is why I choose to use it, but after my recent experience I wouldn't recommend this place unless they replace thier daycare providers.
