Not being a native of the area, I was new to Sleepy Owl. The first time I went there was for lunch with some co-workers. It was recommended to me to order the chili, so I did. WOW! The best chili I have ever had - thick and meaty, not soupy, and served over a plentiful bed of spaghetti noodles and a side of tasty garlic toast. Unfortunately, they don't serve it at dinner, so you'll have to find a way to get there at lunch to experience it. Dinner is equally good, however. The tenderloins are huge and breaded with a light, crisp breading. Since it is a tavern of sorts, the atmosphere is dark and smoky. Not for every one, but definitely give it a try if that kind of thing doesn't bother you.
