Sleepy Hollow Kennel

While we've had good experiences with our dogs seeming okay once we picked them up, I have a couple of grievances with Sleepy Hollow. 1. The guy (ostensibly the paterfamilias) who works the counter is always gruff. When you tout this sort of Christian way of doing business, you expect at least a little kindness or warmth. Alas, every one of the dozen or so times we used them, he's been more like Oscar the Grouch than a guy who cares about your pet. 2. I'm not entirely sure how much our dogs saw play or got attention. Sure, this will be much less than at home, but one of our girls tore up her rather expensive bed (something she's NEVER done) without so much as a sorry for the aforementioned curmudgeon. Well, once this happened again (again with a rather pricey bed) we stopped going to Sleepy Hollow. Great locale and great facilities, but I'm just not impressed with the service. more

I have boarded my dog here for seven years and I have recommended this facility to all my friends. My dog will run into the sign-in area and doesn't even look back as I am leaving. I think he is having more fun than I am on my vacations! I feel confident that my dog is safe and sound and don't worry about him at all while we are apart. I kennel my dog at Sleepy Hollow alot, and I have never been let down. The family that owns the kennel does a great job and seems to have alot of fun doing it. They have very good prices and are very honest people. You can really feel good about leaving your pet. Usually I feel terrible about boarding my dogs, however once I arrived at the kennel I felt at home and very comfortable with leaving my prized dogs in the hands of the staff. I would strongly recommend this kennel to anyone traveling through the area! Finally I can feel at ease and enjoy my much needed vacations!
