If you're looking for a place to golf and not be in the hustle and bustle, this place is it. It's located in Hamden, CT and it is very low key. One of the pro's is that there isn't any clothing restrictions. They just want you to have fun and work on your skills while you are there. It's not terribly expensive, and is a great place to learn and develop your craft. The area is easily accessible and there is plenty of on-site parking available. more

Easy Course But Still Fun! 7/11/2005

Sleeping Giant was the course that I first started playing on about 7 years ago. It was my favorite course because of the easy layout of the holes and that the holes aren't long at all. The longest is a 450 yard par 5, and the other par 5 is only 299 yards. Sleeping Giant is perfect for the beginning player to build confidence and skill while still having fun playing. The course is really low key, no dress code; just as long as you don't screw around or play slow, you will be fine. more
