Skribbles has 2 locations in Northborough, Otis Street and Main Street. All 3 of our kids have gone to both at one time or another over the past 5 years, 3 years for the oldest, 5 for the second, and the youngest is starting the second year. So, we've seen a lot. It's well run and the staff cares for the kids very much.
The core teachers such as Miss Bette, Miss Brenda, and Miss Colleen are great and have been there for years. Over on Otis Street, Miss Rosa in the best infant teacher you'll find anywhere, and Miss Ashley is great too. We don't know all of the teachers, and many of the others are good too, I'm just noting the exceptional ones.
Like any daycare business, teachers come and go sometimes, it's a difficult group to maintain consistency (young women 20's and 30's get married, have kids, change careers, etc.). Tara, the owner, has a way of finding and training good talent. So good, in fact, that sometimes they leave and enjoy success in childcare elsewhere.
Someone mentioned inconsistent closing in winter. The goal is to follow the closing policy of Northborough public, which had inconsistency this past winter, which was very difficult in terms of snow days.
The facilities are clean and the staff is good. It's too bad a few people here had some bad experiences. I'd guess they are exceptions. It wouldn't surprise me that if anyone on the staff was a problem that they would be let go sooner or later.
