If you live in Central Texas you've probably already been to the Skatepark of Austin. But, if you haven't, get over there! The park has a four foot mini bowl with an over-vert pocket marked with a Texas flag. There's also the huge bowl, which is about 80 feet long. A six foot shallow section that waterfalls into a nine foot deep section with one foot of vert on it. The transition from shallow to deep has the ""rattler"" on one side and a penninsula on the other. The street course is always being updated with new sections. When you come to this skatepark there's always something new. It's great. Jon Aultman, Jamie Curtis and the rest of the Skatepark of Austin crew do a great job designing the park and doing everything right.
Pros: staff is friendly and knowledgable, keeping skateboarding real, open seven days a week, prices lower than mall stores
Cons: only open from 11am - 8pm on Sundays, if you go 10+ times a year it's cheaper to get a membership for $60
