Worst

I just ate at the 6-7 for the first time this weekend. I certainly wouldn't call it a Japanese restaurant... I don't think they would call themselves a Japanese restaurant either....

Night out without the newborn 5/22/2005

They got my reservation wrong and we had to wait for a half hour. It just happened to be prom night. You must valet park or walk a bit. The valet is $4. $4 is not expensive, but you will spend @ $100 for 2 to eat. This should be free of charge. SERVICE: The Maitre D' seemed a little perturbed. (slightly understandable, due to the large amount of non-alcohol drinking, bad tipping teens that night). But our server was great. FOOD: slightly above average, but over-priced. You will not get a salad or soup with their high priced entrees. Drinks were not cheap either. AMBIANCE: Excellent (except for the volume from pubertal prom-goers). OVER-ALL: It beats a crying baby and a DVD. 1. Make sure to budget at least $100 for two. 2. Ask to be seated next to a window. 3. Make sure it is not prom night. Casual but elegant meal, killer view! 5/13/2005

From the fresh baked bread, through the two desserts making it worth the drive from the Airport area, the food was the best we've had in a waterfront restaurant in years. Being Seattle Natives, we know you either get great seafood or a great view, seldom both. 6 7 disproved that theory. The tomato-goat cheese tatin appetizer was outstanding, as was arugula salad. Scallops with proscuitto & goat cheese gnocci with red pepper coulis, melt in your mouth. Big eaters could be disappointed, unless you try a dessert as well. The lemongrass tart with berries, beautiful ad delicious. The chocolate tower, too much ever for two people, but so rich it's worth the drive! Great bar! 3/24/2005

We went there for drinks on a Saturday night for a friend's birthday. The bar was very chill with a live DJ that added a lot to the ambiance. The service was fantastic, the views were AMAZING and overall I thought it was a fun, relaxing place to go to get a few drinks with friends. Again, the view is incredible and the decor of the bar is great! I'd go there again - for sure! more

Excellent traditional breakfast, amazing views 3/10/2005

Breakfast at the Edgewater's 67 is a great experience. The views are amazing - it's like dining on a cruiseship (without the seasick part!). The menu covers the traditional american breakfast staples and is always perfect. The restaurant is clean and the food preparation is light (even with bacon and eggs or eggs benedict). I attended dinner with a group of friends before a boat party, and let me say, the food was fabulous. Our food was not too over-priced either, and the waiter was quite helpful. I would recommend coming here if you have a little bit of spare change, and are having a special evening. This is no casual dining place, I would'nt bring children here, unless your a stuck-up parent, or there is a special event occuring afterwards. great crab cakes 4/29/2004

While i was staying at the edgewater hotel, i gave this place a try. The service was excellent. The food was great to mediocre depending on the selection. Pei mussles with curry broth was quite enjoyable. The Dungeness Crab Cakes were excellent. Seared Tuna was lacking in presentation and over-seared although i specifically asked rare. Seared Sea Scallops were forgettable. Creme brulee trio was yummy but too cold in temperature. Overall, I won't say this made my top 10 favorite restaurants. I may go back just for the Crab cakes and drinks. more

While the food & service is by no means disappointing (The shrimp macaroni & cheese was quite quite tasty!), it's the ambience and view that stand out here. Go see the sunset... 3/31/2003

My boyfriend took me to 67 the other night to watch the great sunset we had. We only went to the bar, so I cannot comment much on the food. We had the calamari, which was perfect and came with a pineapple salsa that was really good. The ambience is great...very different from the usual, but in a great way! It was the perfect view for that sunset though. You must go, you won't be disappointed. I'm looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu. Pros: view, ambience more

Exquisite and Romantic 2/22/2003

This restaraunt is in the heart of the Edgewater Hotel on Pier 67. You will be delighted with the view, the decor and especially the food. I ordered the salmon, (this melts in your mouth and I would compare this salmon dish with that of Palisades), while my date ordered the cod. The salmon is absolutely to die for while the cod is more of a fogettable dish. Altogether, your date will be impressed with your pick and you will be impressed that the romantic evening wasn't over 25 bux a dish (i think the most expensive thing on the menu is 33 dollars with an average price of 20-24.). In addition, they have a wonderful bar/lounge. Very posh and upscale. I was impressed with the entire ordeal and I would definitely recommend this place to others. Cheers! Pros: salmon more

What were they thinking!? Cyber trees, plastic and metal chairs? 67 has to have the worst decor of any dining venue in Seattle. This is a shame considering the location. Waterfront dining w/ a ""Euro Trash"" flair, electro pop music flair. Yuck! The food was good, but served on square plates. Could be a bit more imaginative though. I want good food served by helpful waitstaff, I don't care if I'm one of the ""beautiful people"". Quit wasting what could be one of the best locations in Seattle! No better view in Seattle 9/4/2002

The deck in the back of the restaurant is second to none. On a summer evening, overlooking Alki, with views of Bainbridge to Safeco Field. Boats float by as you enjoy the views. The food is expensive; but let's be honest, it is a hotel restaurant. Mostly grilled items, half of which are served a la carte and very small. The appetizers are good and the salads are great, yet inconsistent. The first time I had the frisee. bacon and bleu cheese salad, it was great. The second time it tasted like plastic and wasn't edible. I'd come here for appetizers and cocktails at sunset. The service is friendly and accomodating. more

cool place 9/3/2002

I went to six seven this weekend with my girl friend and we had the best time. I don't usually do this kind of stuff, but the meal was so good and the drinks were great (strong too) that I just had to write a review. We went out on the deck I was so impressed that they had heat lamps on the ceiling to keep you warm. The live music was good. The service was kinda slow, but we weren't in a rush. I just ate at the 6-7 for the first time this weekend. I certainly wouldn't call it a Japanese restaurant... I don't think they would call themselves a Japanese restaurant either..? It's more of an upscale seafood place. The food was pretty good, but I don't think it was worth the $$$. Luckily the friend I went with was on an expense account, so it didn't hurt my wallet! Beautiful Restaurant - Great Food 6/20/2002

We haven't been back to the Edgewater Restaurant in a while and were pleasantly surprised when we took some friends from out of town to dine @ 6/7 last weekend. All of our food was truly outstanding and the ambiance is so unique that our friends ended up staying in the hotel for that night. We will definately be back soon!!
