I love color and am not afraid to take risks...only problem is that doing it yourself can be really hit or miss. I've tended to miss more often than not! I always feel overwhelmed when looking at paint chips, and inevitably they look different on the wall than I think they will. I've had a Florescent Crayon Yellow kitchen, and a Barney Purple bedroom that have been driving me crazy ever since I painted them two years ago. \r \r I decided it was time for professional help! Literally within 10 minutes Nancy helped me find the perfect shades for my kitchen and bedroom color schemes. She has a remarkable eye, and is a wonderful listener. Those DIY shows on TV always make things seem easy, but as I have found, the painting process can be a major disappointment after you go to the work and expense and then dislike the result. I decided to consult professionals this time. It's really not even faux finishes because there is nothing faux about it, it s an art all in itself. Cylina keeps up with techniques and knows how to apply true Venetian plasters, metal finishes, ground pearl glazes, and more. It s amazing what she can create. I have seen their work in a 1970 s house with architecture that today we would call dated, but with their paint quality, unique finishes and color choices, it completely transforms dated architecture into a beautiful oasis. \r \r Paint quality: Have you ever seen properly applied paint? When it s dry, it actually has a shimmer to it. It's subtle but there is actually a shimmer. It's gorgeous. I have an interior design firm, Ida York Interior Design, and when I first saw the work of Sisu Painting, I remember walking up to the door trim\r and looking closely and asked if they add a shimmer to the paint, but they said no. I kept looking at it and I could not believe how beautiful and rich it was, I had no idea that was possible with ordinary paint! And that is entirely because of the quality they use and the way they apply the paint. They really are master painters. \r \r Painted Cabinets: Let me say that we are in the process of having the interior of our ""new-to-us"" house painted. What I am most excited about is how SISU is going to paint my kitchen cabinets!!! I trust no one else to paint cabinets for me or my clients. As they do for my clients, Cylina created two sample kitchen cabinet doors made of the same wood as my current cabinets so that I could really see what it would look like and my husband and I decided which one we loved best. I was so pleasantly surprised that I wasn’t just getting a quote to paint my cabinets but I was also getting someone to help me make decisions about color. My husband and I hired Sisu Painting to paint our master bedroom, master bathroom (including the existing vanity) and guest bedroom in our 1968 home. Most of the walls in our house were white and the window and door trim was all natural wood as were all the doors. The previous homeowners had painted some walls, but they had chosen very odd colors and they had put wallpaper in the bathroom that was hideous, in my opinion. more

Fabulous Faux Finishing! I was looking for a unique wall treatment that would set rooms in my home apart. During a consultation with Nancy & Cylina they showed me examples of faux finishing that they do. They were amazingly beautiful. The first one was a glazing technique and I could already see and sense the warmth and coziness it could add to my bedroom with its varied color. The other was more complex??? it was called Venetian plastering. It added a dramatic, rich, silky surface to the walls and just the look I was seeking for my home office. I have seen the impressive exterior painting by Sisu Painting, Inc. and have referred them many times. I am very excited to know they can take interior painting to this high level too.
