Sister’s Garden is run by two sisters. You just have to stop here when you are making that road trip to the Cheese Factory. It is on your way, so just stop. It has that personal touch. The ladies are very friendly and love to talk. Going through the house you feel like you are walking through their house that they live in. But get over it and enjoy browsing through the gifty items and antiques. more

Sister's garden is just that....a shop owned and operated by 2 sisters on Hwy 1 just outside of Kalona. Filled with character and personality (think going back into time to visit 2 Victorian ladies and all of their "treasures") this shop can easily cause the most casual of shopper to becaome an antique lover and collector! When I first visited this shop I was taken by the simplicity of the decor and the friendliness of the women who own it. Though I must admit, at first I felt a little bit like I was stepping into their personal space, any uneasy feelings I might have had were soon displaced by the antiques and their owners. If you are looking for an out of the way place to experience a true antique experience, go west on Hwy 1 on the way to Kalona and look for SISTER'S GARDEN signs....it is easy to find and easy to fall in love with...I know I have! more
