Can not recommend this restaurant. Service was poor ? no potato delivered with meal. Server did not ask if we wanted drink refills when we needed them. Server disappeared and only came back when we were nearly through with the meal. When I asked about the missing potato, she said she could bring it right out as the potatoes were sitting around the kitchen ? not very appetizing! When I asked for an accommodation she seemed not to understand. When I asked for the manager, she disappeared without a word. Manager offered to deduct one dollar from the bill. What a laugh ? She should have offered something of value. There was one pepper mill in the whole place and it was siting on the salad bar - self serve. Good enough, but it was empty. When I asked for it to be refilled - it was not returned! Server seemed too busy even though it was early and the place was empty. Six people were standing at the front desk doing nothing when I walked in. Clearly this organization does not train their folks very well ? or - since it is in a resort area they do not expect repeat business. They won?t get any from me! more

Recommended by the motel owner--we were on a weekend getaway to Vermont on July 4. The salad bar was fresh, varied, and can ruin your appetite if you don't hold back. The fish and chicken we had was cooked perfectly; vegetables fresh and cooked just right. Wait service was outstanding. Five stars, and who woulda thunk it? It may be nostalgia but I think this restaurant has really slipped over the past 10 years. The prices are reasonable for a steakhouse but the food is mostly mediocre. The steaks are really not what you would expect at a steakhouse, they are very tough and frequently have gristle. The other meals are frequently overcooked. The salad bar and fresh bread are excellent. They have a terrific atmosphere, the interior has always been exceptional. The style of the restaurants is great for just about every kind of occasion from beers and burgers to romantic dinners, we've had several Christmas parties there. It's worth trying once to see if I may have just gone on a couple of ""off"" nights recently. This was, at one time, a favorite of mine. The selection is by no means limited to steaks--there is tons of seafood and chicken on the menu. My fave is the chicken terriyaki and the salad bar is HUGE and well worth getting up for. The dining rooms have a cozy/homey feeling and is a giant step up from the typical chain steakhouses most cities have. Also, the Sirloin's bar/pub room is a great place if you just want drinks and/or appetizers. And, if you have room for dessert, you should definitely splurge and get the Mud Pie.
