If you plan on going to a matinee on a weekday, plan to go about an hour early. They only have one guy selling tickets and running the concession stand, and he's none too quick. Speaking of the concession, if you plan on getting a small popcorn and a small drink, bring lots of money. If you plan on getting a large popcorn and a large drink, take out a loan. It's sort of clean but the theaters are really small. Nights, particularly weekend nights, are just too irritating to tolerate with all the teenagers running wild. You should go to Plainville. or if you really want a cool theater, go to the one on Red Stone in Manchester. Pros: close to my home Cons: no service, small, really expensive more

Very good! Semi-clean and comfy. Could use some more cleaning inbetween the shows but very good. Highly suggest to go to if you want to see a movie directly after dinner because of the FABULOUS restuarounts around. Not to mention the stores to shop at. it is a fabulous place to go because of simsbury for making it like the way it is unlike other towns. Pros: alot of room and the resturaunts around it Cons: Food is too expensive and is not as clean as it could be more

Simsbury Hoyt Theatre 7/7/2005

A nice theatre, good selection of movies, comfortable and clean. The mall area is well lit and offers decent shopping and there are a few restaurants as well. Plenty of parking. Senior discounts available. Someday I'll be able to take advantage of that! Pros: Good all around more

uptown movies 12/13/2002

This is a new theater, so the atmosphere is great. However on any given night it is destroyed by the overwheliming amount of teeny boppers crowding the entrance, the food concession area, and just about every where. The concessions are great if you like paying five dollars for a bag of popcorn, that most likley has been sitting they all day. The prices and the horribl and limited selection of movies available are all due to the town of simsbury, which is pretty much as snotty as it gets. Pros: next to a restuarant, and shoppping center, very clean Cons: expenssive food, crowded, uncomfortable seats more
