What ever you do do NOT give them your debit card number!!! they are totally irresponsibe. I had my Debit card stolen. they have been notified 2-3 Time that the card was cancel and I kwould stop into give them a new Card ID. The continue to keep charging the Old card number and continue to charge a $20 Fee each time the card rejected. this is 3 times in a row now. \r \r I stopped in already to clear UP the issue and pay the past month Membership all I get told it the person that handles this is NOT here. They could not even print a bill out for me so I could pay it. They called the manage in the building and he could not even be bothered to com to the front desk. \r \r I called 2 times, told ""the person that handle the accounting is not here"" I given the front desk my number 2 times and cant get a call back. What up with that. !! more

I recently joined Sims after being at another gym for just over a year. What an amazing experience! The establishment is well kept and is currently renovating for a larger fitness room and a revamped pool. Friendly staff, and knowledgeable instructors that teach my favorite Les Mills classes, I would not dream of going anywhere else. more

I joined Sim's in November 2012 because I fell in love with their classes! I have equipment and DVD's at home but nothing can beat the quality workout and support I get at the classes. If you haven't tried the new Les Mills programs, do so! The instructors are top notch and you will get addicted and feel your body changing after every class. I agree that the gym needs some updates, especially in the locker room, but they already have a renovation plan in progress! Try out the week-long trial and you will be glad you did! more

I have just recently joined Sims Premier Fitness and I love it!! I have been going to a gym previously for years and when I switched to Sims it was an eye opener in what a gym membership should be like. From the very minute you walk in the door welcomed by the friendly staff, to the clean facilities, to the brand new gym equipment (that works), to the gigantic childwatch room and last but not least the amazing group classes. These group classes are run by a professional motivating encouraging instructors that are there to help you succeed!! Sarah the owner is very personal and welcoming at all times!! They are now renovating the gym into a state of the art gym!! I could not be more pleased with my switch to Sims!!! more

Sims Premier Fitness is THE best fitness club in the area....it's NOT just a gym. The staff is amazing, friendly and warm. The facility is clean, has a huge variety of weights and modern equipment to choose from and (my favorite!) the Les Mills group fitness classes with THE best instructors in the area; classes are motivating, fun and scheduled throughout the day so there is always a class available. I highly recommend Sims!!! \r more

I love this place!! They have very friendly people working the front desk. There is updated cardio equipment and plenty of it. The owner is very involved in day to day activity. There are tons of Les Mills classes on the schedule, taught by some of the top instructors in the area. and I am very excited to hear that there are some HUGE rennovations in the near future.( giant group fitness room, dual infinity pool, childrens exercise programs etc..) I have been to all the gyms in the area, Sims is by far my favorite!!! more

Worst Gym in the Area! 1/6/2012

This gym has the worst customer service I have ever seen! I am an athlete and a frequent gym user and I have never been a member of such a poorly run gym. The general manager did not even know the name of the people who worked the front desk. The morning class at the gym need to be improved. I woke up at 4am to get to the gym for a 5am kickboxing class and the instructor did not even know the routine. Also, the spin bikes are outdated and the classes are boring---no intensity what so ever. Finally, the locker rooms are disgusting. They too need to be updated. The shower area is full of mold. If you are interested in joining this gym reconsider---it has very poor management, uninspiring fitness classes, and unhealthy locker rooms. I currently go to the Fitness Studio in Dudley---check it out---AMAZING!!!! more

Exceptional Service 9/21/2011

WOW!!! What a big change. I used to be a member and left because of the unsatisfactory service and unclean facility. I recently rejoined and was amazed at the cleanliness and professional friendly staff. I am definitely going to recommend Sims to my friends and family. I hope they keep up the good work. more

Gym Ran by Idiots 9/14/2011

I was called and told I have the job a day after my interview. I told them I could start only on the next week on Monday ahead of time. Sims agreed to do that and told me to come in on Monday. Then after telling me I have the job they screw me over and call me later in the dday and say no you dont have the job now because someone came in and said they could start today. Ummm its thursday? You couldn't have waited 2 days for the week to end? If this is how they do buisness then imagine how they would treat you. more

Everything about this place is bad!!!! 4/21/2011

I cannot believe how fithy and disgusting this place is. There is more broken equipment then working equipment. It smells and it ALWAYS freezing cold which would be a good thing except it was llike that through the freezing new england weather. There is mold in the ceiling from the frequent leaks and dust and dirt everywhere. There is something always wrong with the pool....its usually green and slimy.... the tanning beds date back to the early 80s. I have heard more complaints about this place than good things. They fired great staff about every 2 years and bring in crappy ones.... and basically they take whatever they can get in terms of instructors...some are great but others are awful. Dont waste your money!!!!! more

GREAT CLUB RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE!!!!!!! 1/10/2011

I have been a member for two years... during that time I went from 207lbs to 137lbs by working with the wonderful staff and taking all the classes. I have made great relationships with members and instructors. I feel the gym is extremely welcoming and have never found anyone to be less than wonderful. There is a variety of free classes suited to meet everyone's needs as well as free swim and Spin (which most clubs charge for Spin). The place is also VERY clean...they have a cleaning staff that takes pride in what they do. However you'll have to see for yourself. They offer 1 week free trials..so dont take my word for it...check it out...what do you have to lose...??? more

mold 7/17/2010

I have complained to the staff several times about black mold in the back of the upatairs cardio room. IM not sure there aware how dangerous black mold is but it seems they could care less. ive been a member here since before it was sims, back as far as charlton raquetball. i will be quiting shortly. Pros: have equipment Cons: mold mildew and mold more

DON'T GO TO THIS GYM 5/25/2010

I feel very uncomfortable at this stuffy gym, very hot humid no ventilation, impossible to take a shower after your workout due to the condensation and humidity in the locker room, mold and dirt add to the disgusting mix. If your a female be prepared to be treated like the plaugue as the female staff cater to the males. If you have an issue do not take it up with the so-called ""manager"" Jen because she is as unprofessional as one can get. I regret signing up for this gym and will never make that mistake again. I have joined PWER HOUSE and have signed 5 of my friends up there WE LOVE IT SIMS you don't even deserve a half a star GOOD RIDDENS!!! Too bad I have to pay for sims for two more months due to there hidden tricks see that its paid for and i still won't go!!! I hate it there! Cons: No ventilation, snobby staff, bad additudes more

Not good.. 4/21/2010

Whoever gave this club 5 stars obviously has financial interest in it. It is extremely dated, dark and dingy and unbelievably expensive for what it offers. It is dirty and unwelcoming, personal training is a rip off. No experience with childcare so can't comment on that. The classes are the only saving grace in that they are challenging, however the room is small and is always packed which does not make for a comfortable experience. I decided to work out from home. Pros: proximity to home Cons: very dated and dark more

SUX! 2/2/2010

I'm not sure who wrote the above comments. This place is DIRTY! MOLDY! and UNSAFE workout conditions!! No air conditioning! You can actually see the mold growing out of the walls! The toilets went unclean for over 2 months along with the showers, which has red mold all over them! See for yourself... This place is disgusting!! STAY AWAY!! Pros: No waiting as all members left! Cons: Moldy, dirty, wet floor in group room, moldy showers, etc. more

Best Gym I've Been In 10/7/2009

Sims is by far one of the best gyms I've been in and I've been in gyms all over the world. Sims has an at home feel when you walk through the front door. The staff is friendly and knowledgable about fitness. What really sets them apart from others is the perks of being a member. Free classes, free pool use, weights, machines, personal trainers, health drinks and protien bars, massage therapy on site, and staff members that are really excited about seeing my results. The encouragement is the best at Sims and the feel of family is even better. I'm a 1.5 year member at Sims and miss them when I'm away. Pros: Location, Clean, Comfortable, Variety, Pool Cons: I can't take it with me when I travel more

Is this the same place I toured? 9/23/2009

I read the comments before Sim's grand reopening on September 21st and almost didn't go. Fotunately, a new friend of mine who has been a long time member convinced me to tour the club. I am new to the area and have traveled all over the US working out in many clubs along the road. I found Sim's to be a high end facility with state of the art equipment. The staff was super friendly and hands down it was the best club I have ever visited in my life. I am happy to say that I am a new member and would like everyone to know Sim's is a must see! Pros: Clean, High End, No meat heads, Outstanding Pool Cons: Wish it was closer to my home but worth the drive more

The BEST Fitness Facility in New England 9/22/2009

After reading some negative comments I feel compelled to set the record straight. As a ten + year member, there isn't a health club around that even compares to the level and quality of Sims. The staff is always knowledgable and friendly and kidwatch has been nothing but wonderful for my four young children. This club always has the most brand new, clean and very well maintained equipment with no wait times. I give this club an A++ and highly recommend checking it out! Pros: Clean, Friendly, Motivating Programming, No wait times more

SIM'S HEALTH AND RACQUET CLUB 2/12/2009

Sim's used to be a club of high standards for health, caring about its members, and cleanliness. The owner decided to replace all staff which made the club what it was--a facility where a member felt safe in the care of the trainers, where staff came to know you as ""family"", hence caring about you and your health. Members had a sense of camaraderie--and that was truly wonderful. If you were out sick for a period of time, you were called to find out what was wrong--if it was illness, some of your time was reinstated--without cost. Speaking of which, when you became a member, you were given a FREE evaluation of BP, heart rate, body mass, etc--good for the member as well as the club!! Now, you pay for everything!! You can no longer E-mail them as the site is gone--gee, I wonder if they were tired of getting negative feedback or are they ""cutting back"" on expenses. Where ever I go and mention Sims, people roll their eyes--the public is in the know--too bad--someone shot himself in the foot!!! Also, no one knows how to operate the equipment so questions go unanswered--someone will eventually get hurt--again, that will be too bad. Machines break and no one know how to fix them, let alone get them fixed by outside repairmen in a fair amount of time. I have been a member there since 2000--I am now a member of the YMCA--very happy there and feel SAFE in their care. My advice, JOIN THE YMCA!!! Pros: none! Cons: poorly trained staff, dirty facility, expensive more

What a waste... 11/23/2008

This used to be a wonderful club, but with new management everything changed. The gym is overcrowded, they charge for all but one of the pool exercise classes, new staff is dumbfounded on questions from membership on, and the place is fairly dirty... What a waste of 800 bucks... should have opted for the Y Pros: Only club within 50 miles of my home, besides the YMCA - Nice equipment, but always taken Cons: Everything Else more
