Simply Import Auto Svc

My husband has used Simply Import Auto Service in the past and now, we've taken my vehicle there as well. I understand the importance of service technicians who are specifically trained for our types of vehicles (Toyota RAV4 and Toyota FJ Cruiser), and who are experts in their field. A couple of years ago, the auto service shop I was using decided not to take on major repairs anymore. I discovered Simply Import Auto Service and have been taking my Nissan there ever since. I have found them to be very good at correctly diagnosing the problem, fair in their repair prices, and they complete repairs timely. I have personally experienced their professionalism, honestly, and a real desire to satisfy the customer. They have even referred me to the dealer for warranty repairs. Jay will give you the answer to the problem and the cost to solve. After dealing with him for over two years, his solution has been 45 to 70 percent less than a Lexus dealer on parts and labor. On a Toyota problem, his solution was a repair at a minimal cost rather than a replacement part and necessary labor which were much greater. Simply Import is the best shop I have found in the Richmond metro area. I have tried places near my home in Modlothian, but always felt like there was a minmun to get out the door of $300 to $400. Jay and his team have corrected a hydraulic lock in one vehicle and replaced the engien in another. My wife and I are estactic about both these jobs. My husband and I have both take our cars to Simply Imports for regular maintenance and unexpected problems. The staff has always been professional and courteous. All work has been explained and agreed to before hand and I have always been pleased with the price and results with the work done. Dealer wanted $450 to do the scheduled maintenance on wife's 2002 CR-V. Simply Import did it for $200.\r \r Dealer replaces everything on the maintenance checklist - whether it needs to be replaced or not. Simply Import looks at every item on the same checklist but only replaces those items that need service. Like the air filter.\r \r (Why pay the Dealer to rotate, add air, and balance the tires - when the discount warehouse club [Costco] where I bought the tires - does it for free.)\r \r Owner of Simply Import is a certified technician by Honda. With over 20 years of experience.\r \r Location is a former gas staion with mutiple work bays. So many customers little room to park. But that also shows that Simply Import has a good reputation. I have a Lexus RX330 and it seems alot of repair shops want to charge me extra just for driving a ""luxury"" vehicle.Example: Needed a timing belt replaced,got in touch with one import repair shop on Main St explained I needed this done quickly as possible.They said they would send a estimate via e-mail so I waited and waited and waited.After about a month they did send the estimate for $2400.00! I went to Simply Imports and they had it done in one day AND charged below $800.00! This was a few months ago and I've had no problems.Take it from me,I shopped around and they are the BEST around Richmond for import repair!
