I love this salon! 2/19/2012

I just moved here a few months ago and decided to try this salon. I was not disappointed! I got a cut and style from Judy. She did a really great job: a scalp massage with the shampoo, very detail-oriented , very cute look after my hair was dried and styled. She really made sure every hair was perfect! She spent about an hour on my hair from start to finish, which is twice as long as I usually get from my favorite hairstylist at home in Texas. I loved knowing that she had really put the time in to make my cut just so. The salon is really nice, too, very clean and friendly. Overall, I loved the relaxing salon experience and the beautiful cut! I will be back! more

""the"" best hair place....... 5/26/2011

I hate going to get my hair done.....but.....since I found Simply Hair.....these girls take my stress away :-) - I've tried other salons since moving down here but met Eveann & it's home for me now. I have thin hair, she's the best, always seems to work her magic! Never a problem with appointments either. The salon is fun, comfortable, modern, plenty of products on hand. Everyone on the staff is great & very friendly, especially Gail up front. She always makes me laugh. Everyone knows you by name. The best is when people ask me, where do you get your hair done, it's so nice.....I smile & say thanks.......""simply hair"" . Thought it was about time I wrote in a review, they deserve it! more

judge a book by it's cover..may have went to the wrong place 10/16/2010

Wow..this review is way off. Every time I'm in there the owner is at the receptionist desk and is VERY friendly and so not out dated! I NEVER smelt smoke and it's always clean! Not sure where she got the unfinished part from...and thankfully she headed back to the parking lot!!! let me guess the person writing this has a salon in the area and needs to trash talk to get any sort of clientele!! Funny how no one else had anything bad to say! more

Loved it. 2/1/2010

I had Robyn (Robin?) do my hair during the summer. it was HORRIBLY fried, I thought my hair was done for. She gave me highlights and was very careful not to over-do but was determined to get me to the color i was hoping for. I had damage afterward, which I expected but not nearly as much as I thought. She did a great great job and I will go back to her in the future. more

Judge a book by its cover! 11/23/2009

Simply Hair is an old fashioned salon with old fashioned trends. It all begins with the reception desk upon entrance. The receptionist is out dated by twenty years, the desk is cluttered and clients barely get a welcome. Not to mention the horrible smell of smoke! The ambiance of the salon is also outdated, not to mention dirty. It doesn't take long to noice that certain aspects of the salon are not even finished. The owner and manager are outdated as well. How can a salon be cutting edge with such women running the salon? When I arrived at the salon, I took a good look at the place and turned around heading into the parking lot! more

Best Salon in all of Ocean County, NJ 12/12/2007

This salon is wonderful! I have been serviced by many of the women in this business and can tell you that I have never had a bad hair cut, perm, pedicure, manicure or waxing. My favorite person in the salon to do all of the above is Jackie Collins. She does my hair, nails, toes and eyebrows. For a real mod cut or excellent hair coloring, ask for Donna Steele. Pros: Many of the staff are trained to do more than one service. Cons: Can't think of any. more

Avoid Nikki at all costs 10/25/2007

First time there, I got a decent haircut, no complaints. Second time, had a girl named Nikki who was sub par at best. She burnt my scalp, didn't cut my hair evenly at all, and could care less whether I was there or not because she was too busy talking about her social life. Will NEVER go back to her again after having my head burnt and scalp peeling and having to get my angles and layers recut a few days later. However, I do not have any complaints about the rest of the staff whatsoever. more

Best Brazilian Waxing I've Had! 7/31/2007

I've been to many, many waxing places, and Simply Hair has a very, very good waxing service. The cleanliness was great. The girls at Simply Hair cleaned up all the areas I'm afraid to shave. My girlfriend was happy too! more

Best Hair stylists and manicurists in the Manahawkin area. 2/4/2007

This salon has the most comfortable atmosphere. The girls are all so friendly. When you walk in its like one big family. You are always greeted with a smile. They use the best of all products, from washing your hair to the styling products they use to make your hair look fabulous. They carry this product line called Pureology and it is so awesome. There are many products in the line geared to all hair types. I highly recommed Simply Hair in Manahawkin, because of the staff, their knowledge, and ALL the products they have to offer.
