Duxbury?s catered my daughter?s wedding and we were pleased. Our non-traditional affair included a ?comfort food? menu with a gourmet touch, a challenge they patiently helped us sort through; they even prepared an old family recipe to serve and it turned out great. They allowed us several tastings and made wonderful recommendations so we could achieve what we wanted within our budget. The food was simply delicious and our guests said so openly. Duxbury?s service and attention to detail on the wedding day were excellent. But do remember to use common sense with EVERY vendor you choose: read the contract carefully, ask questions about everything you don?t understand, ask that the contract be revised and resent every time there?s a change, send queries and requests by e-mail and save them, ask about ?hidden? charges that may come up later and insist that all charges be listed. The earlier you make decisions and ask that they be included in the contract, the earlier you?ll know what you?ll get ? so stay on top of things. Duxbury catering was the biggest disappointment! My husband and I stretched our budget thin to hire them for our wedding, and what did we end up with? Til this day, we're apologizing to our guests for the rude service and the horrible meal: spoiled coucous, dry salad and missing meat slices. The only thing edible on the table was the bread, and I didn't appreciate my guests being barked at by the servers. Don't be fooled by their charm. They blind sided us with stale food under a high priced contract, and for someone in the business for 15 years, they don't even have the professional courtesy to respond to a client's letter.
