Cakes 5/16/2006

The cakes here are so sweet and good. They have so many different variety of cakes that are freshly baked every day. I love the frosting on their cakes..its not too thick and buttery like other cakes..it tastes perfect! I love their marblel cake. And they always have some kind of special evryday on one of their items. So make sure to ask check out the special of the day! more

Simply Desserts in Fremont = Yummy Cake 4/21/2006

Simply Desserts has the most delicious cakes! The cake menu is extensive so there must be many options for various desires. We buy cakes there a couple/few times a year and for some reason always get their basic chocolate cake (so good we just don't get tired of it). It is a good idea to call ahead at least a couple of days --more for weekends- to get the pick-up time you need and to order the size you need and any special decorations or writing you want. Also if you are just making a quick trip, you can park in the PCC parking garage and then only have to walk up the stairs at the end of that little alley, turn the corner and there you are!!! more

Best chocolate cake in Seattle 4/11/2006

They aren't birthday cake specialists, but Simply Desserts in Fremont bakes the best cake in Seattle. My personal favorite is their chocolate fudge cake, but they make a wide range, and everything is absolutely top quality - dense and moist, incredibly rich, and made from the best ingredients. If its the cake you care about and not the decoration, Simply Desserts is my hands-down winner. more

Simply Desserts is just that--a tiny shop in Fremont that only sells desserts, plus coffee and tea to enjoy with your dessert of choice. Our favorites include the white chocolate/strawberry cake--2 layers of white cake with a fabulous frosting and fresh strawberries--and the blueberry/lemon cake(only available seasonally, but worth the trip). They also have several chocolate varieties, and they sell by the slice or whole cake. There are even little candles for sale to put on a birthday cake! If you love cake, you have got to try Simply Desserts. more

The cakes are just DIVINE! The designs are European-influenced, and taste is just right - not too sweet, slighly rich and heavenly! The classic chocolate cake is srcumptious, and there're many other kinds of fancy cakes. The selection changes often so there's always an element of surprise, and gives the impression that the bakers are passionate about their baking. A must-try! more
