I took my truck to all transmissions in Tacoma Washington and after 3 hours the owner still said they could not get to it even though I had an appointment. I told the owner I was disappointed and he told me he doesn't want my business and sent me off so I went to Silverdale transmissions & in 15 minutes mike the owner or manager had my truck in the bay in already had the transmission pan off and diagnose what was wrong with my vehicle. Two days later they have my transmission rebuilt they did it quickly fantastic service wonderful customer service and the best business I worked with in many of years. I recommend this company into anybody that has a transmission problem or any other services up the offer these people are exactly what consumers are looking for in quality service in class. My girlfriend also have her transmission rebuilt you're a couple years ago and it is not have a problem with it is warrantied and has fantastic service back then as well. I was brand new to the area, and I knew something was wrong with my car. I searched on my phone for shops in the area who worked on transmissions and found Silverdale Transmissions. I called and talked to the owner Mike. He said he was booked solid and had no space for me until a week or two. I wanted to know if it would be okay if I asked him a few questions over the phone and just talk about my car. He ended up taking me right in. At first he was just going to put it up on the machine that reads the codes and tell me what he thought it was. Mike ended up keeping it for 2 1/2 hours. He assured me that it was safe to drive short term, but I would need to bring it in for repairs. The news wasn't great, but he was amazing to work with. Mike and everyone there provided phenomenal customer service. They had totally gained my trust with their honesty throughout the ordeal. I had taken my car to another shop to get looked at and that shop tried to pull one over on me. They told me I needed an oil change, even though I had just changed my oil. Then they wanted to charge me $50 for a new air filter when I knew I could get one for $10 at Walmart. The people at Silverdale Transmissions knew my situation made me feel vulnerable and trapped because I was from out of town and had just moved there from 6 hours away. And they were able and willing to help me out as much as possible. Mike from Silverdale Transmissions fixed the transmission in my car last year to the tune of $3,000.00. he had to have it towed from Bainbridge Island to his shop twice. It has never been a normal trans and slipped frequently. I now live in Dallas, Texas and have to replace the transmission for another $2,500.00. Be very careful when dealing with this guy. Silverdale Transmissions went out of their way to help me. My transmission broke down near their shop. They towed me to their place and found out it needed a rebuild. I recommend having it all done at their location. They were real cooperative and kept my car on there property while I looked for a deal that I could afford. Mike was great and patient. more

From the start, I got a reasonable estimate from Silverdale Transmissions. I compared them to other businesses and they were all roughly about the same. I just had a much better feeling from them. They were forthright and honest with me. I think the most important think was their honest. The owner of the business specifically spoke to me and said that he knew they might not be the cheapest but that they were the best. So, I took a chance on them and they were just a completely pleasurable experience. I would definitely, definitely, definitely recommend them to anybody looking to complete a project. I have been going to Silverdale Transmissions for several years. They have built two or three transmissions for me, and serviced others. The first time I used them, I was just driving by in my wife's Jeep, which was having transmission trouble. The were able to see me right away, and had the car in and out on time, working great. Another time, a relative of mine down in Portland had the transmission on his Dodge go out. He uses it for hauling, and I recommended Silverdale to him. They built him a $5,000 transmission to meet his needs. They do a good job at Silverdale. They warranty their products, and I've been pleased with them, overall. My story starts just over 2 years ago, in the winter of 08. My tranny went out in the middle of a snow storm. All the AAA tow trucks were busy on Hwy 3, and I was stranded. I hiked home and then found Silverdale Transmission in the phone book, and they were able to come tow my car. They did a fantastic job replacing the transmission, timely, reasonable price, honest work. Flash to today, April 2011: I was at work last week and when I left to go to lunch, I had no reverse. I drove back to Silverdale Transmission and they found that I had let the fluid run dry, burning up my transmission. My warranty had run out, and it's been over 2 years since they replaced it, but Mike helped this poor working woman out and only charged me parts to repair my car. God bless you guys! Silverdale Transmissions was right on the ball. They figured out what was wrong with my car, they ordered the part and installed it without any issues. The turn around was fast. Our experience with Silverdale Transmissions was great. They got us in and out in one day, and I had to then drive all the way to Missouri. There were no leaks at all. This is a car I was gifting to my son, so it was important to have a reliable vehicle, and they did a complete transmission rebuild in 24 hours. I went to Silverdale Transmissions because I had heard nothing but good things about them. Also, I like to deal with local, private mechanics. So, I had them replace our transmission. I was unable to find anything with your name having to do with transmission work. Are you sure you brought your vehicle to Silverdale Transmission? I was the one working the office in March of this year and don't recall anything like this happening. We would not of torn your transmission apart without your permission to do so. We have never removed and disassembled a customer?s transmission without their authorization. That is not the way we work here at Silverdale Transmission. Further more if we would have disassembled your transmission it would have been done to industry standards.
