Silver State Kennels

Left my dog here over the weekend. After speaking with the kennel attendants I was told that they would feed my dog the food that I provided, and I was charged an additional fee for the trouble of not using their in-house food. When I got back my dog he had horrible diarrhea and defecated all over the house. Which leads me to believe that they just ignored the food that I bought and fed him whatever they had on hand. I won't be a return customer. more

i will NEVER take my animals here again! We left our 10 month old puppy for a week while on vacation. While we were gone he got really sick and had diarrhea, with blood in it. To keen ""an eye on him"" they locked him in a kennel for 2 days. They couldnt even call to tell us what condition he was in. OR maybe even suggest to take him to the vet. When we picked him up he looked like he lost 10 lbs and you can see all his ribs. He wasnt his normal puppy self for about 4 days after. DONT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE!! more

I have had 3 dogs trained (gun dog)by SS Kennels, I am very happy with the results of all. \r Boarding is great as well with heated kennels and ""play time"". And the best part of all, they are open 7 days a week so you don't have to wait until Monday to pick up your buddy! more

They have taken care of my Mastiffs and Rottweilers for years when we'd go out of town. Their old dog houses (they have been replaced) were not large enough for my male Mastiff so they put a horse blanket on him since 1 of my females had come into season and he could no longer be the same kennel with the 2 girls. I had an emergency happen while out of town and was gone an extra week. They were already booked solid with incoming boarders. They took my crate trained dogs into their office, something I can never repay them for. They still took them out to romp in their enormous exercise area besides walking them. I refer all people who call me for training, especially hunting to them. They not only train your dogs, they compete with multiple breeds in hunting (retrieving) trials. If I had to go into the hospital for an extended stay tomorrow, I'd board my Service Dog there because I know that she would be loved and played with several times a day. Pros: Lg. Indoor/Outdoor Kennels, XL Exercise Area, Willing to feed special provided food. Cons: A touch of a drive from my house. more
