One of my friend recommended Silver Spring vet hospital to me. He had very good experience with the friendly staff members. I took my lab with very severe diarrhea for couple days, the doctor there was very knowledgeable and using very simple words to explain the diagnostic and, treatment. I left this clinic with a lot of informations for future care and the final bill was reasonable, next day the staff called me to check on my dog, i am really satisfy with this place and I am glade to have such clinic in our area. more

BAD VET AVOID!!! 4/23/2011

This doctor is grossly negligent, NO one TAKE your cat o dog to this location. He amputated our cats leg in the wrong location and charged us for it. He gave us the wrong medication which would have shut down our cats liver. We had to have a 2nd amputation, and he did not give any pain medication for our cat, on top of it, he told us to apply an alcohol spray directly onto our dear cats open wound. On top of it, he scraped dead skin down to the bone without sedating our cat, our cat was writhing in agony insane from the pain. This is an absolute horror story. On top of this the vet has yelled at our family members who ask any questions. Our cat is now making a full recovery after taking her to a real vet, a good one. BEWARE DO NOT RISK IT more

I like this Place,Quite location safe for my dog if getting loose,also they have long hours daily which help me to save some money from going to emergency clinic. Pros: they taken new patients,no appointment needed more

Silver Spring Vet 5/10/2010

We did not have a good experience at Silver Spring and have since moved to a different vet. The head vet, Dr. Salem, was a bit curt with us every time we were in his hospital and didn't seem to to take too much care with our new family member. Dr. Salem was clearly knowledgeable about his field, however the attitude was completely unnecessary and in our opinion inappropriate for a professional. Also, the vet became very angry, raising his voice, talking fast, etc. when we questioned him about the price he charged us for a routine procedure. (We called around town and found that we were charged double for this procedure!). We feelt that you chould get what you pay for however that was certainly not the case here and therefore do not recommend Silver Spring as a vet. Pros: Knowledgeable Doctor Cons: Not the most caring vet and HIGH prices more
