A small gallery with a big vision 3/15/2006

Though this venue in the South Side is pretty small, it's got a ton to offer to both artists and patrons of photography. I presented some of my photography at this venue for a university alumni event and found the staff friendly and very accommodating. They feature local artists in addition to their members' works. A great place to check out if you're in the area! more

small but thoughtful photography gallery 8/21/2005

The Silver Eye Center for Photography on the south side is an small gallery exclusively for photography exhibits. At any time, the main gallery will be showing a major exhibit while the small room in the back shows works from Silver Eye members. The work tends to have a local bent although on occaision bigger national exhibitions on tour stop here (Ansel Adams). On Thursday nights they are usually open late and on occaision feature seminars or discussions heavily attended by the local photography community. more
