This park is more than a amusement park full of rides. There are interactive opportunities to watch skilled craftsman at work. It's old time skills being demonstrated, and a lot of people never get to see that sort of thing. The Christmas festival is worth the price of the ticket alone.
The years that we go, we make sure to get the season pass early. It's totally worth it if you plan on going more than once in season. That way, if you only spend two hours at the park, you don't feel guilty about spending money on the ticket, b/c you know you'll be back. It is a pricey ticket, but the family atmosphere is worth it for us.
The kids love the rides, and the ball play place, as well as the water squirting area. The train drives me crazy, but the kids love it. Go figure.
You MUST visit at Christmas time. It's packed on the weekends, but not so busy during the week. Check it out, the lights are worth it.
