Nothing Negetive to say about Silver Creek they save lifes 2/18/2011

I had a very sick dog her name was Chewy, she was the love of are life, her and her sister there are 4 legged CHILDREN. I cant not believe some one would have any thing bad to say about this clinic I drive from Taylorsville just to make sure that Dr. Tyler Stiens & his staff is the only vet that treats my girls. he is the best vet to ever walked the face of this earth. Chewy had a rare blood infection, it was called auto immune hematodic anemia, she had a 3 % chance to make it through the first 24 hours, with the love from Megan(vet tech) and Dr. Tyler as Chewy knew him, and all the staff up there my dog lived through kidney failure 3 times and liver failure 1 time, because of Dr. Stiens loving heart i was able to keep Chewy live for another 5 happy years, Camping, fishing. the sadist day of are live is when she went into permanent Kidney failure there was nothing more any one could do, we had to say good by to my best friend and daughter, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE WORK AND TIME YOU TOOK WITH US TO MAKE CHEWY HAPPY AND HEALTH FOR THAT EXTRA 5 YEARS!! I will never take my dogs any were but there!!! NOTHING BAD TO SAY they are my life Sauveur!! LOVE YOU SILVER CREEK more

Best vet yet 7/2/2010

Twenty years, three dogs, GREAT VETS. Drs. Barbi and Artz have provided the best care I could have hoped for for my dogs. They are caring, warm, knowledgable human beings. Can't ask for more! Pros: warm, wonderful, knowledgable people more

Very Satisfied with our care 5/18/2010

I read a few of the negative reviews and was so frusterated by the sophmoric approach of the complaints that I wanted to say...1)if you request an xray 2 times and don't get what you want you have the right and responsibilty to get another opinion. If you choose to blame a good doctor for injury that could have happened in the days or hours after his exam you are an irresponsible pet owner. 2) IF HAVING THE DOCTOR WHO GRADUATED TOP OF THE CLASS IS A PRIORITY THEN YOU SHOULD DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU SLANDER SOMEONE WHO GRADUATED AND WAS GIVEN FULL HONORS OF THE DEGREE. 3) A vet clinic is just like a human ER or HUMAN doctor office...if you take your kid during flu, cold, H1N1, and RSV season your kid is going to get something even if they had shots.\r \r Dr. Stiens and several others there have cared for my animals. I appreciate the fact that my pets do not have to suffer stupid unnecessary test for something that can be easily assessed by a GOOD Vet and a good old fashioned exam. I appreciate that they don't see me as a dollar sign when I walk thru the door and that my pets are cared for above and beyond what has been expected. \r \r Our dog Sunny is a 8 month old Lab puppy that Dr. Stiens saved with a basic exam of her hips, took xrays to confirm what he already knew so that we could get her in to surgery as soon as possible. She is recovering beautifully and will resume her training as my 3 yr old daughters seizure/therapy dog. He is a wonderful HEALER and a KIND person. Doesn't deserve the slander here. Pros: cost is a huge factor, they have the best fees in town Cons: can't think of any more

The best DVM I have ever had. 1/17/2009

I have been going to Sliver Creek Clinic for just a little over a year now due to the fact that I followed the ""Best"" Vet I have ever had ( Dr Stiens) . He has given my two dog the care they have required since they both were affected by the dog food recall. If he didn't react and treat them correctly I truly believe they wouldn't be here today and healthy. Dr Stiens and the staff truly care about the well being of animals.\r I have been traveling from West Jordan to Park City just to see Dr Stiens. Thank you for all you do! Pros: Geat DVM Cons: DISTANCE FROM WHERE I TRAVEL more

Outstanding Animal Clinic 3/6/2008

On 3/5/2008 it came time to put down our loving pet dog Rugby. She was very old, in great pain with much distress and experiencing her last days. For any pet owner it is always a difficult decision whether to continue treating irreversible problems or to end your pet?s further suffering. Dr. Barbe and his staff at the Silver Creek Animal Clinic, fortunately for us, were so kind and understanding during this difficult time. Dr Barbe treated both us and Rugby with time, compassion and patience during Rugby?s last examination. Dr. Barbe and his staff were fully informative aiding us in our decision making process. Our family will always remember their kindness to Rugby. Pros: Dr. Barbe and Staff were very compassionate, understanding and kind. more

Very dangerous. Avoid at all costs. 11/26/2007

My dog is currently in 2.5 hours of surgery which may end in her termination because Dr. Stiens at SCAC did not Xray a leg after two different requests. He assured us it ""had alot of trauma but was not broken"". On the third trip in he finally said ""it feels broken"". Subsequent XRay showed it was much more than broken. He did offer in hindsight that the ""swelling may have prevented him from feeling the break', Because this ""dr."" did not want to do an xray my dog may die. I have filed complaints with numerous departments. The good dr. had us walking our dog on her shattered leg because ""movement would be good for the swelling"". Buyer beware. You know what they call teh person who graduates last in medical school? Doctor. Cons: Dangerous, incompetence more
