In Short
Located in the heart of Englewood, the WCI's student-run restaurant is a full-service kitchen, serving multiple meals a day, all with an African, Caribbean or Cajun bent. Menus change regularly, as the student wait staff explains, but regular dishes include piquant Senegalese peanut soup, braised goat in nut sauce and a classic jerk chicken preparation. All entrees come with a choice of hand-ground grits, sweet potatoes, couscous or spiced jollof rice--the latter the most popular. The dining room is done out in warm reds and African-inspired fabrics give a nod to the menu.
