Signature Smile Dentistry

I had been terrified of going to the dentist for as long as I could remember. The older I got, the worse my fears got, so I simply quit going. Needless to say, my teeth and gums steadily deteriorated to the point where I had no choice but to do something. I scheduled a consultation with Dr. McConnell and left his office feeling impressed and very much at ease. Subsequently, Dr. McConnell and his staff performed extensive dental work on me and I can honestly say I experienced little or no discomfort. Almost a year and a few visits later, I now view going to see Dr. McConnell and his staff as going to see friends. My first experience with Signature Smiles was getting my teeth whitened. The staff was so friendly and helpful and I had such a good experience that they became my personal dental office. When it was time for my daughter to get braces, I was thrilled that Ron McConnell did orthodontic work as well as dental and had specialized in Pediatric Orthodontics. I knew he was the one I wanted to fix my daughter’s teeth. He had her teeth straitened in less than one year and they are gorgeous! People ask me all the time who did her orthodontic work because they look so beautiful. I then decided to have some more work on my teeth and I couldn’t be happier. At age 46, I finally have the straight white teeth I have always wished for. I only wish I had done it sooner! The Signature Smile staff does an excellent job making you comfortable during all procedures. This was especially important to me because I had always been a little nervous in the dental chair. I first visited Dr. McConnell 2 years ago at the recommendation of a friend. To start with, they make you pre-pay for your visit, without having done any work. Secondly, his "cavity detector" is a lazy man's tool that is not accurate. An incredibly long story short, after a visit with another dentist I learned that Dr. McConnell diagnosed me with 4 cavities that were not even there, and damaged my teeth in the process of "fixing" them. His "staff" or wives were incredibly rude to me, and unprofessional. I was once asked by a physician how many positive reviews it would take to outweigh a negative review about a Dr. I hope that all the positive reviews in the world do not make you waste your time, money, and teeth at this practice. The reviews below are not real anyway, his staff are the only people that call him "Dr. Mac" and Paula works for him, so I am sure she got her veneers for free. more

I began seeing Dr. Ron McConnell in 2006, after moving to North Texas from Nevada. I found his practice to be filled with gentle, good-humored professionals devoted to excellent dental care, and long-lasting relationships. While thankfully being possessed with strong, healthy teeth, they were rather crooked. Frankly, I had never considered straightening them until Dr. Mac suggested that I try a “Snap-On Smile” appliance. For the first time in my life, I could see what it looked like to have straight teeth. What an eye-opener! Following that revelation, we made the decision to apply Dr. Mac’s amazing capability as an Orthodontist and pursue a plan to straightened my teeth. After a shorter time than I had thought possible, the day came when my braces were removed, and for the first time in my life, my teeth were straight. I just had Lumineers done with Dr. McConnell and cannot express my satisfaction enough. After years and years of bleaching my teeth, I still did not have the white shade I desired. I grew up seeing white teeth in magazines and on TV and I wanted it too. Dr. McConnell explained to me that with Lumineers, I not only could have the whitest teeth possible, but he could correct the front crooked tooth that bothered me since middle school. I am 80 years old. I have been able to eat and enjoy my food due to the diligent expertise of Dr. McConnell and his care over the last 23 years. My previous dentist worked for years trying to get my dentures to fit correctly, and there was no way I could eat solid food. At the time, implants were in the pioneering stage, but I found that Dr. McConnell was performing them with much success. Not one day since he did the implants have I regretted it. I have had the freedom to eat meat and hard solid food. Dr. McConnell also found that I had high cholesterol and osteoporosis from eating the wrong kinds of food.
