Best Sichuan style (spicy) Chinese food I've had in Boston! I grew up with Sichuan cooking at home and going there was truly Déjà Vu. The twice-cooked pork is tender and dry, with enough fat left on it for juiciness. Kung pao chicken is the real stuff: diced chicken cubes with dried red chilli and peanuts (not cashews!). There was a fish dish I tried the other night that was fantastic as well. I've had nothing to complain so far. The service was quick and fast, albeit not a whole lot of chit chat like you'd get at Applebee's. The majority of the clientele at Sichuan Gourmet are Asians. I highly recommend this place to anyone who's daring and adventurous for an authentic Sichuan experience. Be warned: their food is very spicy and most likely very oily.
Pros: great food, fast service, big portions
Cons: cafeteria ambience
