Shoushtari, Babak, Dds - La Jolla Endodontics

I was referred to La Jolla Endodontics by my normal dentist when he thought I might need to get a root canal. Having never had more than a filling, I was very nervous when I showed up for my first appointment. The staff, however, were very friendly and made me feel comfortable even though I was very scared. The doctor did a few tests (cold..ouch!) to see if I indeed need a root canal, and finished up with some xrays. He was able to pull up the xrays on the computer after and actually show me why a root canal would be right for me. After answering my questions about the treatment and other options, I decided to go ahead and do it. He was actually able to start the procedure right away, and gave me some medication for the pain and infection. I had to go back about a week later to finish, but having already been there once I was much more at ease and was actually able to take a nap. Overall, it definitely helped me to realize that root canals sound a lot scarier than they actually are, and even though I will hopefully never need another one, I know where to go if I do. more

I just had my second root canal at this office and I've had a great experience every time. The doctor is very helpful and explained everything to me very clearly and you can see he really cares about his patients. Everyone there was great and I definitely recommend it, especially if you've never had a root canal before. Pros: They always do their best to get you in right away more

I was told, I had to go there twice for a root canal since its a long process and in my mind I was thinking this will ruin two days!. Turned out it wasn't painful at all. He explained the whole procedure to me in the beginning -it all made sense. Definitely reccomend this place :) Pros: Great office, clean. friendly staff Cons: Can't think of any more
