"shorty" and "smalls" are very appropriate for the sizes of the portions they serve here!!! We were in town for business and decided this was a good place to try because it had such rave reviews... I am positive now that it's the staff that are making the reviews to make it seem a lot better than it actually is. There was no "service", it's all self-serve so I'm not sure what the other people are referring to. We got about 1/2 a cup of queso, 4 ribs, 3 chicken tenders and a drink (the others had water) for $20!! Ridiculous prices and not worth half of what we paid for it. It's robbery to eat here and I will Never return to one of these restaurants again. more

We had a very friendly server 11/3/2010

Our server was very friendly and returned to our table frequently to make sure everything was o.k. He was from the area and was not bothered by us asking questions about the local area. more

Great Service 10/28/2010

The service was great (cute waitress too). The BBQ was great, the steaks were wonderful. The place had a nice rustic feel. Judging by all the empty plates at the end of the meal I'd say six out of six of our party liked the food. I can't comment on their deserts (was too full to try any). more

We loved this place! The people were awesome and so was the food! Our waiter was so friendly! We have a two-year old son and he just loved the music they were playing! He would take a bite of catfish and start moving to the beat, it was a good time! You gotta stop by for some good eats!!! :} more

The atmosphere and the food is terrific. Best ribs I've had and I love those cheese biscuits! Bring a big appetite because you'll get lots of food for your money. We always have to have doggy bags. We live here in the Ozarks and have lots of opportunities to try out various restaurants and shows. Actually, most all shows and restaurants are better than big cities because down here, we cater to the tourist to be sure they have a good time. more

We were there, back in 2002, and again in April of '07 and the food was and still is excellent! All in our party, especially, liked the CATFISH! We will tell our friends!!! more

Best Ribs!! 10/8/2010

They have the best RIBS anywhere, bar none!!! Arriving before 5:00 is best, if you don't like to wait to be seated. I won't wait to be seated at 95% of restraurants, for them I make an exception. They are well worth the wait. more

We never had better steaks 10/7/2010

My wife and I enjoy the excellent food and service. There is plenty of room at the tables. We never had better steaks. When we vacation in Branson, Shorty Small's is a must. We will be visiting Shorty Small's this month. more
