Good: The waitress did not disclose the terms of the coupon until after we ate the food. Apparently to receive the 50% off on the coupon you have to join their club at $14.95 a month. I was not told this until after we ate and were ready to pay and leave.. Bad: Poor service. Management was rude and obnoxious.. Improvements: Food quality needs to improve and the quantity. You do not receive what you pay for. Customer satisfaction and entire staff need to improve how they talk to the guests that enter their restaurant.. Other: I have no plan to return any time soon after my experience.. more

When I pay $20 for 2 sandwiches, I expect them to be outstanding. They were not. DQ is better choice for Barbecue. Will not return. more

The people were awesome and so was the food! Our waiter was so friendly! We have a two-year old son and he just loved the music they were playing! He would take a bite of catfish and start moving to the beat, it was a good time! You gotta stop by for some good eats!!! :} more

The inside looks like a barn that is half about to fall down, but apparently the waitress said it was on purpose which made it kind of cool. Definitely a "country" atmosphere. They do a good job sticking with their theme. The food was pretty good and wait staff was friendly and attentive. Pretty decent place. more

Be sure you bring an appetite with you 11/5/2010

Bring your appetite, because the servings at this popular steakhouse/barbecue joint are massive. All the smoked meats are prepared right on the premises, and they come to you dripping with hickory flavor. Even the burgers are grilled over hickory coals. The mushroom cheeseburger is so big that you will need to jump up and down on it just so you can get your mouth around it. This is a somewhat dimly lit, smokehouse-style restaurant that encourages casual attire and lively conversation. more

We eat at Shorty's at least twice in our week long visit. Be sure to get a coupon and receive a GIANT blooming onion. THe sauce is the best. We like the catfish, pork bbq, and chicken strips. Kids meals are cheap too! We have even seen live music which the kids enjoy. They never have a problem seating our group of 15. Can't say enough about our favorite spot!!! more

Shorty Smalls is a sit down restaurant, but you don't have actual waiters that you have to tip, nor does it take a while to wait on food. They have good burgers, salads, and typical "American" dishes. more

Good food, really good. Kinda pricey for dinner, but good.The ordering process is different than normal and on our first time there we didn't know exactly what we were suppose to do. more

Me and my family enjoy eating here 10/1/2010

Delicious salsa. Cheese dip is pretty good and the onion loaf is very good. My husband loves the brisket and also the catfish which is very tasty and never greasy. I also like the catfish. The roast chicken is very good. My kids love the chicken fingers and the pizzas. The only thing we dislike is that you have to get your own beverage refills. They do have refillable mugs - you buy it the first time and can then get free drinks anytime you go in after that if you take the mugs. All in all, we enjoy eating here. It is always clean, fairly quiet and the food generally is served quickly. more
