I can't say enough positive things about SDREI - specifically Tiffany Abbiate and Kurt!!! Unfortunately, like many others, I bought a condo downtown over 5 years ago that was completely underwater and needed to do a Short Sale. From the very beginning Kurt walked us through the process and clearly outlined the pros and cons, ensuring that we made the best informed decision we could before starting the process. Once we were ready, Tiffany took over and walked us through every step of the way until we closed less than 4 months later. Tiffany was our personal advocate and always kept our best interests in mind....and as a result, the process was quick (or I should say quicker than most), and efficient. I'm from Brawley, California, which is a few hours east of San Diego, and was in need of short selling my home. I was underwater and struggling with the decision as it's a very difficult decision to walk away from your home. I was initially apprehensive about filing for a Short Sale, but, after two rejections from the Lender in my attempts to modify our existing mortgage loan, we decided that we try the short sale route. I contacted Mr. Kurt Wannebo of the California Real Estate and Investments Company in San Diego, California and explained to him the dilemma and frustration I was experiencing with the Lender and discussed what options I would have regarding a short sale. Following the discussion we had on the phone, he and an assistant came to visit me at the house and in length discussed the short sale procedure. He was very knowledgeable in the short sale subject and was very transparent in answering the questions I had. I felt very assured from our discussion and dismissed any apprehension I further had regarding the effect it may have on my credit and the approval of the short sale. Two staff assistants to Mr. Wannebo, Mr. Mike Hinmon and Ms. Becky Bensussen, were assigned to help me through the sale process. They were very professional and helpful not only finding potential buyers interested in the property but also finalizing the sale of the house within 2 months that the property was placed on the market. Tiffany Abbiate and Brian Ruhl w/ Kurt Wannebo truly know the intricacies involved in short sales. I can not recommend highly enough the importance of having a very experienced short sale team to handle a short sale; I don't use the neighborhood agent just because they have bought or sold a few short sales. Their experience was shown to me over and over during my short sale process. From the start, they were able to lay out the process, not sugar coating it to get my business, but rather provide various options with their potential benefits and pitfalls. Always quick to provide answers to questions that came up during the process, they never made me feel like I was a burden asking newbie questions or asking for clarifications. Once offers starting coming in, Tiffany Abbiate's expertise came through. She really had to hand-hold the buying agent - although the buying agent had 25 years of real estate experience, she really didn't know her way around a short sale. Tiffany made sure everything was done properly and that my interests were always protected. I ended up being able to walk away with zero out of pocket. Tiffany and team were able to negotiate any settlements to the banks in the deal to be paid by the buyer. My name is Linda and we recently purchased a condo in San Diego. We had issues with a couple other Realtor pressuring us to purchase homes in areas that we did not like or did not feel comfortable with. They also wanted us to sign a contract before we even met face to face to use their company as our primary Realtor company. I gave her a call that day and explained to her what my price range was and the areas that my husband and I were interested in. The following few hours she had over 20-30 listings for use to choose from through the web interface program that your company has available. The following weekend my husband and I went with Nicole to see prospective homes. When we finally found the condo that we wanted to put in offer into. She was able to give us all the information we needed in terms that we can understand. When we finally, after 5 long months, opened escrow, our loan officer was a nightmare!!! He went on vacation a couple days after we opened escrow and passed our file to someone else. Than he got back from vacation and went on another vacation two weeks after we opened escrow. It took us 7 weeks to close escrow. Nicole was helpful through the entire situation. She called and emailed everyone she could. We were updated nearly everyday of the longest seven weeks of our lives. She is absolutely amazing. Very kind, friendly, informative without being pushy. I more
