Shoreline Place is located north of Chicago in the lakeside community of Wilmette. It is operated by Lutheran Social Services of Illinois and offers housing to seniors and people with physical disabilities.
Shoreline Place includes 43 apartments -- 32 one-bedroom homes and 11 efficiency units. One of the one-bedroom homes is barrier-free, while two of the efficiency units offer barrier-free living for people with disabilities. You must be 18 years old or older and have mobility impairments that require the special features of the unit to qualify for one of these barrier-free locations.

* LifeLine Emergency Call System
* Cable TV access
In addition, Shore Line Place offers:
* Community room with cable TV/entertainment center
* Library with two Internet-connected computers
* Laundry facilities
* On-site social services coordinator who assists residents with educational, health and welfare resources.
Residents must be 62 or older, or physically disabled persons 18 years or older, and meet specific income guidelines set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Rent is 30 percent of the resident's adjusted annual income.
