I shot here at Shooter's Choice today, first time ever shooting a 9 mm and it was a great experience! I was getting more used to semi automatics since I usually shoot revolvers. The staff is really knowledgeable, friendly, and respectful. I don't live here in NC, I just visit a couple times a year to see family so whenever I come back I'll be sure to visit Shooter's Choice. more

100% recommend Shooter's Choice & our shooting instructor, Josh Fritz.\r \r As a first-time gun owner & shooter, I was thoroughly impressed with his one-on-one safety education and instruction. I went in feeling uncomfortable handling my firearm, but left feeling empowered & educated. By the time I was finishing up my lesson with Josh, I was hitting the center out of targets.\r \r Josh made it seem effortless to pick up on basic gun-handling & shooting through his advanced skills, knowledge of the learning process & his patience. He would be an awesome instructor no matter your level of experience. more

The prices were quite reasonable, much lower than what I'm used to in Jacksonville. Everything about this shop would make me go back if I'm ever looking for another firearm. I read some of the reviews badmouthing the ""large"" gentlemen who works there, but he showed us nothing but a pleasant demeanor and courteous service. Highly recommend this shop, but I will advise you to bring patience as it has been very crowded every time I've been there. more

I thought service from this store was very good .They have a lot of knowledge about guns and the price seemed to be in line with the others in town,they have a large selection so i was able to purchase everything i needed at one place and they were open untill 8pm and the guy at the counter stayed late to finsh my purchase without rushing me or being rude about the time.i have been in since my pistol purchase and shot on there range the guy that night was very patient with me and was a big help.I give them a thumbs up ! more

Just had my first encounter at Shooter's Choice and it was great. After this nonsense in CT. and nearly every other private gun seller in eastern NC basically raping the public with prices that should be considered felonous, Shooter's Choice had just unpackaged a Saiga 7.62x39 and sold it to me at regular MSRP. They knew they could sell it for close to $2000 if they wanted, but they did the right thing. This is a hard quality to find lately. So I went ahead and bought a handgun as well from them and now they will have all my business. Everyone I came in contact with was great too. more

Went here last month with my wife to pick up her first pistol. The place is a bit small and the selection isn't over the top, but they had the weapon we were looking for. The place was packed and very busy, both with people waiting for the firing range, as well as those of us where were interested in buying. The staff were still extremely courteous, answered questions, and were quite knowledgeable. Even with the phones ringing off the hook and people everywhere, the staff were still cognizant of the customers and were very attentive and friendly. more

I have bought three guns from this store in a period of about five\r years now. They routinely have the weapon I want in stock and at a\r very competitive price. Their prices are typically lower than other\r local stores and even compete well with the exchange on Camp Lejeune. more

I visited this range while wintering over the course of several months and look fwd to returning this winter. very friendly, knowledgeable staff, well stocked store, keep it clean, turn on fans when just a little smokey, I've been there dozens of times and never a problem. and who doesn't have an ""off"" day now and then, I wouldn't grudge the place with only one visit. took the NC ccp course, got free range time. I highly recomend this place. stop in and see for yourself. more

The overweight younger guy with all the tattoos ruins this place. Terrible customer service, rude, and obnoxious. I will spend my money where I feel appreciated and welcome. I would advise everyone else do the same. more

Pleased with Service 7/30/2012

I just wanted to say that I purchased 2 guns in the past 3 months from Shooter's Choice and was very pleased with the service and knowledge of the staff. The owner, Ricky, is extremely knowledgeable and was helpful in making a final decision. A good place to buy guns and shoot. more
