Shire Bookshop

I was a visitor in town and needed some books to read. I was fortunate to locate it right off the Google Maps. Bookstore is full of books of various kinds (fiction, horror, documentary, politics, biography, etc.) both in hardcover and paperback. Also foreign language books (German, French, Russian, Swedish, etc.) and dictionaries are available. Prices are modest and affordable. Books are organized by type and alphabetically. Place is spacious, clean and comfortable. Owners are congenial, helpful, intelligent and kind people. Parking is available for customers. Its close proximity to a number of fabric and clothing shops makes this place an ideal selection to visit during the weekend if your spouse is into such things. The bookstore is open until 5:00pm so don't be late. I just wish I was living nearby to visit and shop from there more often - online shopping can never beat the wonderful aroma of a bookstore. This is the used bookstore of my dreams -- a vast, overstuffed barn just brimming over with used books of all types. I could browse for hours. Books range from the latest bestellers to collectible antiquarian volumes (housed in their own section). Books are arranged by category, and there is even a foreign text category. My kids love the children's section, which has a little table and some puzzles for them to amuse themselves with while I browse. more
