AVOID THIS AGENCY! Do your research before you give your money to shipmans family care for the CNA classes that are given by Ms whitifeld.I did my research after paying for the CNA class and went for one weekend.I thought was for CNA training. But instead the course I found out after some serious concerns about the teaching methods, was not state license approved by the state to give these kinds of CNA classes..The nursing board said that she is only approved to teach a personal care assistant course, for individuals that are planing to work in group homes or assisted living. Now that is not what they advertize in their flyer and not what I and many others thought we where paying for.It was advised to me by a state board associate that explain to me that they see this kind of scams all the time,DO YOUR RESEARCH.They continue to explian I would come out just the same as just taking the state test without this class and wasting my money for a class that CANT NOT give me enough hours of skill training to prepare me for the state test.I took thier advice and recommend that if you are thinking about becoming a CNA please dont waste your MONEY or TIME in this course at this agency. The instructors teaching methods are so very unprofessional and rude.Dont waste time asking for any assitant or help from Ms Shipman; she claims she is not affailted with this class,Yet her emplyees takes the application and money and writes the non-refundable receipts. She say, qoute""I just let them rent my conference room for the classes""You read right ..the classes are held in a conference room with no desks for 30 or more students with your paper in lap and a handbook they claim is the CNA book for the course. this handbook is use for mrs shipmans family care employees. We are Gathered around one table that seats 12 people.I thought more from this agency but they are clearly wrong for taking peoples money for classes that if you too do your research will find CAN NOT train you for in 3 weekends to pass the state exam to become a CNA which is what they claim they offer.Training for classes working in a group home is a big diffrence in training to become a certified CNA and paying $190.00 for a FAKE CNA CLASS....YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
