Shiny Penny Child Care Ctr

Both of my children have gone to the Shiny Penny and have loved it. Their preschool program works to develop early readers and writers. I am a teacher myself, and my 5 year old started Kindergarten way ahead of the game thanks to the Shiny Penny. My youngest child is eight months old and has been their since he was eight weeks. I love the fact that it is a small facility with wonderful staff members. They truly make people feel like a family and take awesome care of kids. more

My son has attended The Shiny Penny since he was 10 weeks old. He'll be leaving for kindergarten in about a month, and we are all so sad to say goodbye to Shiny Penny. I have NEVER worried about his safety or care in the entire 5 years he's been there. This is a small facility with a very home-like environment which is one reason we chose it. The preschool program there has been absolutely on par with anywhere else I could have placed him. Our son always comes home happy and is excited to go to school in the mornings. Everyone there is easy to talk to and concerned about the individual children. They have special events for the kids and have always been very nurturing. This is a 3-star facility (the highest possible rating in TN), and I always recommend it to other parents we know. Ms. Penny runs a tight, but loving ship. If I had another child, I would place him/her there in a heartbeat. more

This place istso fake. They pretend like they care about the children, but one day I surprised them and caught a worker being very cruel to a child. I immediately removed my child. I heard froma member of my church that that they were recently evaluated by the State and are now on probation. Stay away!!!! I contacted the State as childcare ratings and all information are public record and the information was correct. Do your homework! Cons: Too many to list more

My daughter has been going there for a year now and we've hot no problems at all. The staff is very caring and friendly. The director is very easy to talk to and always nearby! more
