I am from Seattle and went to visit family in Kansas. Well, they kept wanting to go get frozen custard, I was skeptical. After trying it I only wish they shipped or had a franchise over here because I have never tasted something so good before!! more

Can't get enough 1/25/2003

Even in the dead of winter, I will drive to Sheridan's, get out of my car, walk up to the window and suffer the cold to enjoy a cup of heaven. I appreciate the intense heat lamps at the line in the winter. It's as great plain as it is with any combination of treats. I don't care that their concretes cost more than other ice cream stores. Sheridan's custard is better than...everything. Quality all the way. Pros: delectible, quality frozen treats, it more

For fast service and fresh custard, Sheridan's is the best. When a new location opens, its cause for a universal exclamation in my car. The service is efficient, and the custard is always great. more

Sheridan's copy Custard's Last Stand! 11/27/2002

Sheridan's Custard is such a copy of our good old home town favorite, Custards Last Stand. I will always eat at Custards Last Stand over Sheridans because they are the original. Sheridan's is turning into more of a franchise, so I will never consider it Kansas City's hometown custard shop. Custards Last Stand is by far the best Kansas City has to offer. The custard at Sheridan's is not even close to the quality that Custards Last Stand has to offer. Custards Last Stand has a lot thicker and creamier custard, and they put a lot more candy and flavors in their concretes. Don't support Sheridan's, support the real hometown favorite in Kansas City, Custards Last Stand. Pros: Lot of room Cons: All Outside, Slow, Cheap more

A glide worth the ride 10/5/2002

Custard made fresh every day, frozen and creamy. It is a planned personal outing to drive over to Sheridans even though I have an ice cream place that is closer. Just the vanilla is worth the trip. I didn't know what ice cream was supposed to taste like until I took my family to Sheridans. Cute place too! Pros: superior product, option variety Cons: outside seating, hot dogs, not best more

I have loved ice cream since I was a little kid. In fact, I worked in two different ice cream parlors in high school and college. Sheridan's by far is one of my favorite places to eat ice cream/custard. I feel the contrast of flavors between the custard and the toppings blended into the concrete is very delightful. I also enjoy watching the custard being made through the window. Plus, they offer little doggie cones that are a wonderful treat for little dogs. Trust me, mine dog tells me everytime he eats one with me...... Pros: Selection, Topping Amount, Taste Cons: Crowded, No Seating, Melts quickly more

Sheridan's has by far the best ice cream in the city. It is so creamy and light. They are very creative in the combinations that are offered. Many combo's consist of food items that should never be grouped together, but somehow they work. Who would have thought that pretzels and/or gummy worms would be included on the menu.
