We love traveling in New England and Nantucket Island is always the highlight of our East Coast trips. Recently we discovered a charming B&B on the Island located right in the Historic part of Nantucket Town. We walked up to the Inn when we got off the Ferry. Highly recommend the Iyanough Fast Ferry. Comfortable ride across Nantucket Sound with inside or outside seating and a glass of wine. We were greeted at the front door of the Inn by the owner and escorted to our room which we had pre-selected from the Inn's website. Our room matched the photos online to a T with local original art in our room as well as in both parlors. Breakfast was a surprise - a picnic basket left outside our bedroom door filled with home-baked pastry, fresh fruit, juice, yogurt and a huge selection of teas/coffees available in the parlor. We had the best time biking out to Cisco Brewery- the Island's only micro brewery that is literally located in a corn field next to a huge farm. another adventure on our bikes took us to Madakat on the west end of the Island where the surfers hang out and we discovered ""Millie's"". We ate an early dinner there served beach-style with the most amazing gaucomole and fish tacos.
All-in-all Nantucket just got elevated on our list of New England favorites thanks in part to our hosts at the Sherburne Inn. Stay there. You won't regret it.
