Chicago, it is well known, is sorely lacking in great Indian cuisine. In fact, there have been very few brave attempts to represent a cuisine that has a rich and diverse history. Marigold is only a partial success, but are to be commended for their efforts. Unfortunately, for great Indian food, you'll have to venture out to D.C., New York, or L.A. , or to London, or to Delhi's Defense Colony, where you'll find Swagath, a brilliant Indian restaurant that received a five star review by the New York Times, and was featured on our own NPR station. It is sad that a great city like Chicago has such poor Indian food. SherE Punjab is for people who have no idea of just how amazing Indian cuisine, if creatively and authentically rendered, can be.
Cons: Unoriginal, uninspired, and hackneyed
