Maintanance sucks 2/24/2011

I like the apartment that I stay in, but I stay above the storage and the roaches will not GO AWAY! I spray and spray and the just go to the spots where it has not been sprayed like the TV stand. My fridge is not working and I put a notice in 5 days ago, and every time I call the office, they tell me sorry we will send someone there ASAP. The maintenace men go on ""priority"" calls. If they don't get to you that day, then too bad for you. They own FOUR different apartmen building on this street and don't have enough maintanance men for all the properties. If RAAMCO can afford to buy so many properties, then they should be able to pay more money to keep their tennants happy. I am so mad to the point that I am calm, and that is not a good thing. more

Overall apts ok. However, management is horrible I have never in all my years wittnessed a manager who when she see resdnts coming she runs the other way if she had a rock she run for cover all do to her guilty conscience fora crappy job. until that problem is fixd this apts will continue to go down. Don't waste you time moving to 777 Bateswd or any othr apts run by shengraamco. more

I just moved in recently and the office staff is a JOKE. They're always making excuses about why things concerning maintance are not getting done Im so feed up.I have tried talkin to managemnt same ole excuses everyboby needs to be replaced!!!!! THE REASON I SAY THIS IS THEY R TAKN THEIR JOBS 4 GRANTERD IF THEY DON'T WANT THE JOB GIVE IT TO SOME ONE WHO DOES .2 TO3 WEEKS FOR MAINTENCE IS UNACCEPTABLE more

I lived in these apartments for over 3 years while I was a student and was mostly pleased with my experience. However, when it was time to move out, they have chosen to steal money from me. I played by all the rules, wrote Notices to vacate letters, left the place spotless and all bills paid in full. Now they are trying to tell me that since an employee did not do the correct paper work when I got a dog, that they won't refund my pet deposit. I've been gone two months and they still have my money. Most recent turn of events is they say it is on me to prove that I paid my pet deposit even though they have it written in my ledger, I've seen it, and the office staff know I paid it, and sent the copies to corporate. This is unbelievably unprofessional, and petty. Like $150.00 is going to break them ! Well, guess what Corporate, I have my proof. Bad business towards me equals bad review for you on every internet site I can connect to you. Cons: Do NOT rent in any complex they manage ! more

This place is no bueno. I live in Spring Oaks complex and it is full of mold and inscets of all sorts. Managment is a joke. Just go to yahoo locals type spring oaks in spring tx you will see my images of the place they are not good. Pros: cheap Cons: get what you pay for more

I would just like to state I have lived in harbour bay apartments in La Porte, Texas for about a year and I have had nothing but problems. The second month I lived there noticed my electric bill was very high for a one bedroom apartment. It was staying very hot in my apartment it was so hot I had some chocolate melt. I kept informing the office staff and they sent the maintenance guy to check and change thermostat and that was all they ever did. The manager at one point said she would look into it and see what was going on I waited a little while to give them some time to take care of things. I never recieved a phone call back so I called and instead of finding out what was going on with my ac and things I found out there was a new manager and now I had to start all over explaining to them what was going on again. So I did that and they once again sent maintenance guy to check everything again. Well nothing still being done and by now my bills are $400.00 a month remember this is a one bedroom apartment...We had to sleep there while it was very hot inside the thermostate would say 80, 85 and so on we had to sweats our butts off . Well my lease is almost up and now they replace the ac unit but I have still had to pay my electric bill and I think I should be reimbursed for some of the bills since the ac needed to be replaced inside and out but no they do not reimburse anything they sure want to do any kind of upgrades we want or need.....I do not recomment you or anyone move to Harbour Bay Apartmens the staff is horrible and they do not care about you at all... more

Not worth the hastle 2/24/2008

I have, in the last 11 years, lived in 8 apartments, 2 houses, and a single-wide... no I am not that unstable and unsettled, I was a student and like any good student 1000 miles from home you sign short term leases and you move everytime your lease is up. That being said, I have lived in some crappy apartments, some nice apartments, had some crappy management and some great management--- I know apartments. Bateswood Manor/Regents Walk are soooo not worth the time, the energy, or the money! Office staff stinks and is always changing, they don't return calls, they have ZERO follow through or follow up, they are lazy, disinterested, and rude. So that covers the crappy property staff but it doesn't end there (and I have never lived in one place that was over all crappy, it has been one thing or the other but not both). My oven has been broken for 8 months now, my neighbor can't park (assigned parking) and the office people have been told several times, and they wont do anything about it, the same neighbor plays her music so loud it wakes me up @ 3 and 4 in the morning, which has also been complained about w/ nothing done. I even asked if I could be re-assigned a parking spot, they said ""no."" I asked about moving apartments, they said ""when your lease is up"" but to go from one to another, unless I add a bedroom, will cost $200... that's before moving expenses!!!! DAM people DO SOMETHING!!! I pay my rent just like everyone else who hasn't gotten eviction notices. Maybe they don't like white girls, young looking girls, or smart people... I don't know but when I signed my lease I wanted it to be somewhere I could stay for a few years, I am tired of moving, I don't see this as that place. I am debating on staying 1 more yr (to show I can live in one place for that long) or just saying to helI w/ looking stable, I'm outta' here... If I didn't already live here and I knew all this I never would have wasted my time, energy, or money leasing this dump. Pros: Location Cons: Everything else more

I asked about being notified about painting my stairs because my youngest daughter as asthma. And she bascially told me that she does not have to notify anyone. Even though the stairs that were painted were the only way to get in and out of my apartment. And now when I request maintance she just totally disregards me. I DON'T WANNA WASTE YOUR TIME WITH DETAILS BUT MY FAMILY AND I WERE KICKED OUT DUE TO ""MY HUSBAND TALKING OUTSIDE LOUD"" WHEN IN ALL REALNESS IT WAS ALOT OF DRAMA WITH SOME WOMEN AND MY MOTHER AND THE FACT THAT MY MOTHER CAME OVER EVERYDAY DIDN'T HELP THE PROBLEM WE WERE WARNED BEFORE ABOUT HAVING MY HUSBANDS MOTORCYCLE OUTSIDE BY THE STEPS WHILE IT WAS RAINING. WE WERE NEVER WARNED ABOUT BEING LOUD OR ANYTHING OF THAT NATURE UNTIL WE RECEIVED A LETTER WITH THE MANAGER AT OUR DOOR ONE FRIDAY AFTERNOON WHO STATED WE NEEDED TO BE OUT OF THE HOUSE BY THE FOLLOWING SUNDAY. WE EXPLAINED TO HER THAT WE HAD PAID A FULL MONTHS LEASE AND WOULD NOT LEAVE UNTIL THE MONTH WAS OVER. AFTER MOVING OUT THE MANAGER AT OUR NEW APTS CALLED TO FIND OUT IF IN FACT THIS WAS A EVICTION OR BROKEN LEASE THE MANAGER SHARON OF GLEN OAKS INFORMED THE MAN THAT IT WAS NOT AT ALL A EVICTION OR BROKEN LEASE BUT SHE JUST ASKED US IF WE WOULD LEAVE WHEN IN FACT PRIOR TO MOVE OUT A MARSHAL WAS KNOCKING ON OUR DOOR WITH COURT PAPERS SO IF THIS WAS NOT A EVCTION WHY DID THIS OCCUR? WELL A COUPLE OF MONTHS AFTER LIVING IN OUR NEW APT MY HUSBAND RECEIVES A LETTER IN THE MAIL STATING THAT HE OWED 5,000 DOLLARS WHEN WE CALLED THEM THEY SAID THEY HAD PICTURES OF A BAD CLEAN UP AND A TABLE THAT WAS LEFT IN THE APT. FIRST OFF OUR DINING ROOM TABLE WAS SOLD TO OUR NEXT DOOR NEIGHBORS AND THE HOUSE WAS CLEANED BY ME. AT THE TIME OF MOVE OUT MY HUSBAND WAS BACK IN FORTH FROM WORKING OVERSEAS AND TIMES WHEN HE WAS NOT AROUND I WOULD HAVE NOTHING TO DO BUT SCRUB THE WALLS. I CLEANED THE HOUSE TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITIES SO THE PICTURES I HAVE YET TO SEE. I DON'T FEEL THAT THIS IS COMPLETELY SHENG RAAMCO MGMT FAULT HOWEVER I FEEL THIS WAS A BAD SITUATION THAT SHOULD HAVE NEVER TAKEN PLACE AND THE MOTIVE WAS NOT STATED IN THE PAPERWORK IT WAS FAR BEYOND THAT IN THE APT WE WERE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE BAR B QUES SIT OUTSIDE WITH OUR GUEST IT WAS MADE CLEAR THAT GUESS WERE TO STAY INSIDE IT WAS LIKE SENIOR CITZEN LIVING more
