Best Chinese food in the East Bay! 1/18/2007

I love their food! If only I was closer, I would eat there a couple times a week. Being born in SF, and now living in the east bay, it is hard to find very good, authentic chinese food that is not greasy and full of SALT. My sister lives in Beijing and even thought the food was very good. They offer nightly specials and have a mix of different regional food throughout asia. The food is very fresh and crisp; never overcooked or overdone. The only negative is, that it can be noisy - not a romatic place... Just plain GOOD food. Pros: Authentic food Cons: Loud more

Very noisy, food was decent 9/29/2006

I visited this resturant on a Friday night. It was really loud that I had to shout across the table to to speak with my company, I just gave up and quit talking after a while, as did my company. One of my friends ordered the Mediterranean Beef, and the description said it was lightly fried. Well we couldn't find the beef.. All we could find was fried breading that was very, very crunchy. Although I had the dry fried chicken and it was very good, so what you order is kind of h*t or miss. The drink prices are a little high, but not horrible. I will go back but not on a weekend and hope to have a conversation this time. Pros: good location. Cons: Loud, Service not so great. Drink prices a little high. more

Best Chinese Food in the Bay Area 7/25/2006

This food is unbelievably delicious! Their service is so quick, and everything has wonderful presentation and taste. They also have gigantic portions the whole family can share 2-3 entree's. They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need (drinks, food, chopsticks, etc). It is also very family friendly. You can go there with young kids and not have a problem because it is loud inside. They have a very modern decor which is also very nice considering most Chinese food places all look the same. It does get busy for dinner, but the wait is never more than 20-30 minutes because they have such quick service. I take everyone who visits me out here to Shen Hua and they are always so shocked how yummy everything is. Go here and you WILL NOT be disappointed. Pros: Food, Location, price Cons: nothing! more

TERRIBLE DO NOT EAT HERE 7/14/2006

First of all, we arrived (party of 2) at 7:40pm, place wasn't super busy for a Friday nite. The hostess said our wait would be 10 minutes which was even hard to believe being that there were at least 8 open tables in our visibility. Pros: good location Cons: service is horrible, very overpriced for chinese food, VERY loud cant' hear anything more

Great For The Price 1/11/2006

A family memebr took me here to celebarte a b-day. We had 12 people in our party, shared dished, had drinks, & the bill was less than $200.00. I found the food to be American Chinese, sorta like PF Changs but better quality. Loved the atmosphere! I will definitely go back when in the area again. more
