We have stayed at Shelly's several times the past 5 years. We have tried other places but nothing is close to Shelly's Cottages. The hosts are great! The cabins, river, hot tubs are all perfect. We have stayed in several cottages and love them all. We have kids and pets but leaving them all at home for a relaxing getaway with my hubby is truly magical! I have sent several friends and coworkers there and they all love it as much as we do! Would highly recommend this resort if your looking for a quiet getaway. more

We have stayed 4 times in 2 years. We love the feel, the cabins, the hot tubs, the quiet (no children), the location and the hosts. The hot tubs are perfect. The cabins are very nice and updated. We are local (Denver area) and wont stay anywhere else. We love everything about this place and cant wait to go back each time we getaway. We have told everyone we know about this place as we can't just keep it to ourselves (although we would like to lol). Again, we couldnt disagree with her review more and can't wait till we go back. more

nice location but a little neglected 3/28/2006

Shelley's Cottages was another location my husband and I looked at to recommend to guests coming to our wedding two years ago. We really wanted those traveling from out of state and out of country to get the true Colorado mountain feel. We looked at many locations along US 36 from Lyons to Estes Park. Shelley's Cottages has a great location right off the road, but the cottages have become a bit neglected. The price is good, but the value is not. I wouldn't recommend this to people. more
