I went in on a Friday night around 10:00pm to buy some skim milk. All they had was 1/2 gallon Mayfield Milk. I paid $2.69+ tax.The milk expired on January 29, 2007. I opened it on Sunday morning This was Jan. 28th. I poured some in a glass and took a big swig. It was nasty. I left immediately, milk in hand, to return it to the Shell station. I walked in and told the guy behind the counter that I wanted to return the milk. He said that he was sorry there was nothing he could do without a manager there. So I went back this morning. While the manager was there. What a piece of work he was. I was very nice at first, I just explained what happened and that I wanted to return the bad milk, even opened it and let him smell it. Then he points out the date. Which was today. I said so what. I bought it Friday night and tried to return it yesterday. He said that he was not going to return my money because it was 2 day later. I told him that I just opened yesterday morning and tried to return it then. He said that I should have brought it back Friday. I told him AGAIN that I didn't open it until yesterday. He said that was not his fault that I was not being fair to him. I told him that a customer has a right to buy a good product. He tells me that they had 20 units of this milk and no one else complained. He told me that he was not going to give me my money back. He says that I don't have a reciept and how does he know that I didn't buy this at QT and are trying to return it there. I told him that his employee didn't give me a receipt. He said that it was my reponsibility to get the receipt. We argued this point for a moment. The he accused me of not putting the milk in the fridge, that I most likely left it in my car. I kept getting louder and louder. There were a lot of customers in there. In the long run, I got my money back. I was furious. Next time I will definetely go to QT. It's only a little bit further! But I am sure that I wouldn't be treated that way at QT!!
